"I'll get it," Kaia said, quickly sliding her wand out from inside her pocket. She performed the charm and the seal appeared as though it had never been opened. Kaia nodded with satisfaction. Hopefully Sarabi would never have to know that she and Hyperion had opened the letter from Jacques. Kaia figured her little sister might be mad.

"We should probably put it back where you found it before Sarabi gets home," said Hyperion after is sister sealed the letter. He now felt a little bit guilty about having invaded her privacy, especially since it really was no big deal, but with a little but of luck, their half-sister needn't know what they had done. Hyperion picked up his English-French dictionary with the intent on putting it back from where he had gotten it from.

Sarabi ambled down the hall, with the intetniton of going to her room, she had spent most of the day out and about, just wandering around town. She paused when she noticed Hyperion's door open, heard him talking to someone. Puzzled about what he had said, she pushed open the door the rest of the way. "Put what back before I get home?" Sarabi interrupted, eyebrow cocked.

Kaia jumped when Sarabi spoke, partly because she was feeling slightly guilty, but mostly because Sarabi's voice was much louder than Hyperion's. Kaia thought quickly of an excuse for having the letter, as she hadn't had time to hide it behind her back. "Oh, you got a letter and I was just asking Hyperion if he knew why your father would be writing you," Kaia replied, showing her half-sister the letter. She refrained from biting her lip as she lied. Kaia wasn't really the greatest liar, but since she lied so infrequently, she had never been caught.

Sarabi raised both eyebrows, her sister was certainly acting odd. Though that might be in part to her own suspicions that her half-siblings weren't terribly fond of her. "Well it is the holidays you know," said Sarabi, lowering her eyebrows and taking the letter from Kaia, "perhaps he's just sending his wishes." She attempted to get through the seal, but found it was bonded a bit too strongly for her. Frowning a bit, she instead tore open the envelope.

"Goodness Sarabi, don't you know how to knock?" said Hyperion, frowning a bit at his younger sister as she tore open the letter. He analyzed her movements, postures, and expressions, just to be sure that she didn't get too suspicious of them. While the redhead wasn't looking, Hyperion nodded towards Kaia, as if to tell her something along the lines of Good save. She had certainly reacted a lot more quickly than he had to the situation.
