Toby gave Perri's hand a gentle squeeze as an awkward silence washed over them, making him feel rather uncomfortable, even if it was the very same table he had eaten his meals at whilst he was growing up. With a quick glance at his mother, it seemed as though she were content just sitting there watching her son hold his girlfriend's hand. At long last tired of hearing the sound of the clock ticking, he decided to speak up. "You've done a lot of redecorating," Toby commented, to which his mother only nodded.
