Isaac's sharp eyes found the spots on the walls where the paint was chipping, the cobwebs from ages of the house being out of use... "Yeah, maybe after we've finished the roof," said Isaac, not needing to add the part about their muggle neighbours. He wondered vaguely if they would do the painting by hand, or just choose a simple spell to change the colour of the walls. Probably the former over the latter. Isaac made a mental note to get in contact with Safira soon, she would know a lot more about interior decoration than they did.

Gabriella nodded, perhaps it would be best to wait until after the roof was finished to start anything else, though she would get a bit antsy until then if she was ever sitting around at home like they were at that moment. Hopefully she wouldn't end up picking all the paint colors out by herself, though, Gabriella didn't think she was too good at that sort of thing. Hopefully Safira would come over and help. "Perhaps we should start with the floors," Gabriella suggested. The wood flooring in most of the house was dreadfully old and needed to be replaced or they were likely to step through it.

"That would be a good idea," Isaac agreed, nodding, "I put my foot through the floor in the upstairs parlour earlier today. It's probably ages of that leaky roof, it's rotted the floor." He frowned a bit. He wondered what sort of wood they were going to purchase for the floors, perhaps they should consult Safira first. She'd probably want it to go along with the feng shui thing she kept telling him about. Isaac didn't understand it.

Gabriella let out a laugh at the thought of Isaac sticking his foot through the wooden floors; it was comical to think about. "Yes, then we definitely should get new flooring," Gabriella commented. She liked wood floors well enough, but as for what type of wood, Gabriella would have no idea. Hopefully one of their friends would help out with that sort of stuff.

"In the meantime we'll just have to watch our step," said Isaac. When he had put his foot through the floor it had been too fast for even his vampire reflexes to counteract, that definitely said something about the structural integrity of what was let in the floor of that room. Perhaps they just ought to avoid the parlour for a little while. Isaac felt vaguely tired, perhaps he might lie down for a little while, get a few hours of sleep. It might keep his mind off continuing to renovate.

Gabriella nodded once more, feeling vaguely like a robot. "Yeah, we should probably just avoid the rooms with the worst floors," she replied. There were certainly some that were better than others, but really the only flooring they could keep was the stone in the kitchen that they were currently standing on. The rest of the flooring worried Gabriella, especially if someone else were to stay at the house. She would hate to see Angel step through the wood and hurt herself.
