Jenna nodded in reply and continued to stir her tea absently. For some reason, she wasn't crying anymore and the anger that had coursed through her earlier was gone. She just felt empty now, and someone that was worse than being sad and angry. Jenna sipped the tea once more, glad when it burnt the roof of her mouth.

Isaac felt awkward in the silence, should he send for Gabriella? She would probably know what to do in that situation better than he did. To compensate for not knowing what to say he drained his vodka and then motioned to the bartender that he wanted another round. Isaac would probably take his time with the next one, to not seem so suspicious to the other bar-goers.

Jenna was silent for another couple of minutes. She finished off her tea and waited until Isaac had finished his second vodka. "Isaac, will you take me home?" Jenna asked. She just wanted to curl up in her own bed and cry. Jenna didn't like crying in front of other people and right then she mostly wanted to be left alone.

"Sure," said Isaac, leaving the money for their beverages plus a meager tip on the table. It probably wasn't the smartest idea for him to be apparating just then- he would gladly pay for a train ticket, and then perhaps a ride in a taxi so Jenna wouldn't have to walk all that far. Isaac held the door open for his petite friend, the night was very still.

"Thanks," Jenna replied as she stood. She lifted her purse over her shoulder and exited through the door that Isaac was holding open. Jenna waited a second for him to catch up and then allowed Isaac to lead the way to the train station. They could ride back into London and then Jenna could walk or take a cab to her apartment. She knew that she wasn't supposed to Apparate due to her condition.

Isaac nodded. He allowed the door to practically slam behind them, the noise rang loudly in his head. Perhaps it was the entire keg plus two servings of vodka finally getting to him. Isaac actually welcomed the slightly uncomfortable side-effects, it meant that he was actually mildly intoxicated. He kept quiet, he didn't want to say anything that Jenna might find offensive.

Jenna was starting to get the feeling that Isaac had been drinking a lot, judging by the smell of alcohol around him and the way he was acting. "Can you get drunk?" Jenna asked after a moment. She wanted to take her mind off of Luke, and absorbing information was a good way to do it.

"Sort of," said Isaac, "but not really. I don't think any strength of a charm could get a bartender to give me enough. I've got a bit of a buzz right now, but that's after a keg of rum and two glasses of vodka." He sort of wished he could get more fully drunk than he was right now, perhaps he ought to start stockpiling liquor once he and Gabriella purchased a house.

Jenna nodded slowly, that certainly explained the smell of alcohol that lingered around Isaac. He had definitely had a lot to drink. "What about a refilling charm?" Jenna asked. She supposed that if Isaac just kept refilling his glasses for a long while, he could get truly drunk. Alcohol didn't affect vampires like it did humans.

"I guess I haven't thought of that before," said Isaac with a shrug. His own stupidity astounded him sometimes, refilling charms were dead useful. Maybe the next time he wanted to get genuinely drunk he might give it a go. Isaac was not sure how Gabriella would react though, she wasn't that kind of person. He figured that as long as he didn't do it all the time he would be just fine.

Jenna laughed slightly, it was amusing how Isaac sometimes failed to do what was obvious. With magic, he didn't really have to buy all that he wanted to drink, he could merely refill his glass. Jenna knew that some bars had anti-refilling charms on their glasses though, but at his own home, Isaac could certainly do that.

"Yes, I make things too complicated, I know," said Isaac as they reached the train station. His sharp eyes spotted the schedule, and he frowned, there weren't any more trains coming tonight. He paused a moment, his alcohol-affected brain having to work extra hard to come to a logical conclusion. "How strongly opposed are you to taking the Knight Bus?" Isaac asked. He had only ridden on it once, that being when he had tried to run away the summer before fifth year. It seemed like a lifetime ago to Isaac.

Jenna shrugged slightly at Isaac's question. She had only ridden it a couple of times and it tended to freak her out a bit, but she wasn't too bothered by it. "That would be fine," Jenna replied, figuring that it would be the easiest way to get home. She didn't want to risk Apparating and there weren't any more trains coming that night.

"All right, then," said Isaac, pulling out his wand and holding it out in front of him, as if hailing a cab. With a rush of wind in less than two seconds the violet triple-decker bus came into view. A boy perhaps a little younger than Isaac stepped off. "Hello, my name's Gregory Simmons and I'll be your conductor this evening," said the boy. Isaac paid him the fare needed for both himself and Jenna.

Jenna stepped onto the bus behind Isaac, smiling slightly at the boy that was the conductor. He seemed awfully young for such a job, though Jenna supposed he was only a bit younger than herself. Jenna thanked Isaac quietly and then took a seat on one of the beds that were located inside the bus. With a loud bang, the knight bus started once more, causing Jenna to nearly fall off the bed. She caught herself just in time and bit her lip slightly, an old habit of hers.
