Gabriella ran a hand through her hair as she began to organize the last file in her drawer. It was getting late and she had told Raychel she would be home that night so they could go out hunting together. But lately, things in the Auror office had been so busy it was almost unbelievable that she was leaving at all that night. Being a vampire helped, Gabriella supposed.
Sifting through a bunch of documents at once, Gabriella mentally made sure they were all in order and then slipped the file back into place in the drawer. Just then, there was a knock on her door. "Come in," Gabriella said, without looking up. She was already packing her work bag with things she had to do over the weekend. "Hello Gabriella," said the voice of her superior, Mr. Gregory. Gabriella looked up hurriedly, figuring this must be important since she hadn't seen Mr. Gregory in about three days.
"Hello sir," she said, dropping her bag on her chair so that she was merely focused on him. "What can I do for you?" Mr. Gregory smiled slightly, but didn't move from his stiff position. "Tomorrow evening we will be going on a raid of a suspected Death Eater hideout. I would like you to join us; it would be good for your training. Actually, you've been doing so well that half the department thinks you should be a full Auror already." Mr. Gregory paused, then refocused his thoughts. He seemed to be a bit scatterbrained as of late. "Report to the Head Auror office at six o'clock tomorrow evening. Good night." He turned and briskly walked out of the room.
"Thank you!" Gabriella called after him, though she doubted Mr. Gregory cared. He was a horribly uptight person, though a great Auror. Sighing slightly at the thought of getting home late on Saturday as well, Gabriella stuffed the last thing into her bag and left her office, locking the door behind her. It didn't take her long to make her way down to the first floor, the place where all employees were supposed to Apparate from. If she had been working late, she would have gone straight from her office, but seeing as others were still there, she had decided to come down to the usual room. Gabriella drew her wand and Apparated about a block from her apartment.
Stowing her wand away, she briskly walked toward the Moonview complex and number 7C, where Raychel would no doubt be still waiting for her. Starting up the stairs, Gabriella pulled out her keys to prepare herself. She unlocked the door upon arriving at their room and it clicked open quite nicely. "Hey Raychel," she said, stepping inside, smelling that her friend was in the main room. "Sorry I'm late."

Raychel looked out from the couch she was lounging on. She rubbed the back of her head and looked at the clock hanging on the opposite wall. "Truth be told, I had no idea what time it was up until... well, now." she replied with a laugh. Standing, she pulled her long hair out of its ponytail, shaking it free. "Well, I need to get something different on. Pajama pants aren't exactly comfortable attire when hunting." she replied, hurridly walking to her room. She quickly pulled on a pair of dark jeans, converse, and a brush. She ran it through her hair as she came back out. Raychel quickly pulled her hair back into a ponytail then grinned at Gabby.

Gabriella chuckled slightly, gently tossing her bag onto the nearest chair and sticking her keys back in her pocket, putting a silencing charm on them so they wouldn't jingle while she and Raychel hunted. Gabriella tossed her robe onto the chair as well, revealing a pair of dark jeans and a black sweatshirt. She pulled her hair into a loose ponytail and waited for Raychel to come back out. "Where shall we go tonight?" Gabriella asked, opening the door back up.

Raychel followed Gabby out the door. She was silent, deep in thought. They could always go to the wooded area outside of Hogsmeade, but the Death Eater's had inhabited that for a while now. Raychel then remembered a perfect place to go. "You remember that wooded area by my old flat? It's perfect, come on." she replied quickly. The moment she stepped over the threshold of the apartment building and stepped into the shadows, she Apparated. Raychel landed directly outside the heavily wooded area. She looked up, and found her old bedroom window, and she managed a small smile.

As Gabriella Apparated beside her friend, she caught the weak smile in the direction of the flat that Raychel had once inhabited. "You'll be back there soon," Gabriella whispered comfortingly, then focused her eyes on the wooded area. Inhaling deeply, she caught the scent of many animals in the area. The best, by far, was a pair of wolves. It appeared that Raychel and Gabriella had picked a good night to hunt; there were rarely wolves in this sort of area. Pulling her ponytail a bit tighter, Gabriella darted into the trees, footsteps extremely light on the dirt floor.

Raychel nodded, then bolted after Gabby. She allowed her instincts to take over, and soon found herself crouched low in the bushes, admiring the two wolves spread over a kill. They were truly beautiful, a perfect mix of brown and grey, considering the weather. And they were large for wolves. As Gabby was taking everything in, she stretched out the shadows to conceal them further. When hunting, she found her ability to manipulate darkness highly useful. Raychel awaited Gabby's mark, not wanting to lead quite yet.

Gabriella held a single finger up, to tell Raychel to wait, as she waited for the female, and slightly smaller wolf, to put her head back down. The animal's heart was beating fast, as though she was nervous. Perhaps females were smarter than males in wolf society as well; the other wolf was eating away. At last, her head went down and Gabriella flicked her finger and lunged in at the closest wolf, the female, killing her quickly with a sharp bite.

Before the male had the opportunity to even look up, Raychel had him in a death grip. With one quick bite to the throat, he was dead. Raychel pushed herself up from her meal quickly, letting it fall to the ground with a quiet thud. Finally, she began to drink. She had never tasted wolf's blood before, and it was an interesting flavor. She made a mental note to attempt to find more wolves, they were much better than the deer she was used to hunting. Raychel drained the dead animal quickly, and then stood up. Although she was a newborn, she had mastered the art of clean eating, only her lips covered in blood. She licked her lips free of the salty substance and waited for Gabby's next move.

Gabriella drained the female wolf with ease, glad that Raychel got the bigger animal; she needed more blood as a recently Turned vampire. Gabriella wiped a small drop of blood off her lip and turned back to Raychel. "Do you need more blood?" she asked. Gabriella needed about one large animal a week, sometimes less, though when she had been a newborn, she had needed a lot more blood, so Raychel would likely need to catch something else to satisfy her for the time being.

Raychel nodded and held up one finger. Then, grinning, she made for another part in the forest. She had smelled a large group of deer on her way into the forest. It would be fun to chase them a bit, but the largest one would been her last body for the time being. She hid in the shadows and watched the group of ten deer, scanning for the largest. Finally, she found him. Raychel managed to scramble up to a high branch on a nearby tree, placing herself directly above the big animal. While his head was lowered, she swung down, landing on his back. The deer bucked in fear, but Raychel soon had her head swung down, biting down and killing him. Raychel drained the buck with ease, then licked her lips.

Gabriella watched from a short distance as Raychel caught a large deer, causing the rest of the group to scatter. "Nicely done," Gabriella commented, coming over once her friend was done drinking. Gabriella's eyes shone bright green from the blood she had just had, but for the time being she didn't really care too much. Once they were back in the Muggle world she would keep her eyes brown.

Raychel grinned. 'Thank you." she replied with a slightly softer smile. She dragged the dead animal to the shadows in order to sit in the grass. Although she wasn't completely repulsed at the idea of killing and drinking animal blood, she didn't need to stare at the mess. She sighed heavily, reaching for her sleeve. She pulled it up, revealing the Dark Mark to Gabby. "She Marked me a few days ago. I was on the expedition sent to murder the Minister's assistant, Claire." she replied softly, shoving her sleeve back down. "And, I won't be returning to Hogwarts for my seventh year."

Gabriella raised her eyebrows, though she felt that a more appropriate gesture would be to smack herself in the head, though she doubted that would help anything. It seemed that Isabelle did plan to use Raychel as much as she could. It was a good plan for Isabelle, not so much for Raychel. "Is she making you drop out of school?" Gabriella asked, not knowing what else to say.

Raychel shook her head, revealing a grin for the first time. "No, this is of my own accord. I've been offered a job at St. Mungo's, as the Head Nurse in the Special Cases department. I applied a while back, and I was the only one who fit the bill. They needed someone who was apt at healing, and they preferred to have someone with... well, more magical attributes." she replied, gesturing to her newly Turned form. "I'll be starting in a few weeks." she replied with a softer smile.

Gabriella smiled and nodded. It seemed like everyone was growing up these days, leaving school, and getting jobs. It was sort of weird to think about. "Good for you," Gabriella said, though she was itching to get back on the subject of Isabelle. "I think we should call on Angel tomorrow and see if we can't think of something to do about Isabelle. And tell her your good news, of course."
