"Vaguely, yes," said Isaac, placing a light kiss on Gabriella's cheek, bringing his left hand to hers. "I can recall being a rather stupid teenager, then." The memories were rather foggy, but the ones from his human days he recalled the most vividly involved Gabriella. He brought his lover's hand to his lips and lightly kissed her fingers. "And I'm very grateful that you didn't turn me down." Isaac added.

"As am I," Gabriella replied with a grin. She wouldn't change a thing about how she and Isaac had met and started dating; it was perfect in its own little way. It was definitely a good thing that she hadn't turned Isaac down, otherwise her life would be entirely different.

Isaac still was not sure if Gabriella knew how much she meant to him. He knew that he probably would have thrown his entire life away had he not met her, he was a very different person before. Going down the wrong path, associating himself with the wrong people... Not that he would have become a Death Eater, no, far from it. There just probably would have been a couple more Xaviers, and he might have gotten a bit deeper into drugs. Isaac was quite thankful. Isaac chuckled lightly. "I don't believe I tell you often enough how gorgeous you are," said he.

"You tell me every time you see me," Gabriella commented. She paused for a moment, liking the thought of someone calling her gorgeous. It was a nice change. "But it still makes me happy every time you say it," she added with a smile. Isaac was sweet; probably sweeter than she deserved. But it didn't matter; they would be together after August. Gabriella could hardly wait.

"Ah, but it is nowhere near often enough," said Isaac, wrapping his arms around Gabriella's waist and gently pulling her closer to him. He kissed her forehead lightly. He loved her so much, words could never convey how much Gabriella meant to him. He was still in awe of the fact of how he could have gotten so lucky in finding her. It was almost as if she had fallen into his lap from the sky. Isaac brought his lips to Gabriella's once more.

Gabriella smiled slightly then brought her lips up to meet Isaac's once more. It felt good to be in her arms, safe and perfect. She wished she could stay forever. Her hands found his short hair and ran through it slowly while they kissed. It was good that she didn't have to breath because right then she didn't want to let go.

Isaac's hands found a resting spot at the small of her back, feelings of elation coursing through him. In a way, it was comforting to be able to be with someone of his kind, that way Isaac knew he would never be able to hurt her physically, and vice versa. Humans just seemed so... fragile. August had never seemed so far away, but he knew it would be worth it once they got to that specific point.

Gabriella pushed a little bit harder against Isaac, feeling the most joy she had felt in a long time. He was everything to her; the rock of her life. Gabriella could hardly wait until the wedding. Then they could truly be together. Finally the kiss broke apart. "We should go to the lake," Gabriella said a bit breathlessly. It was one of her favorite places, and no one would be there to disturb them since it was both the summer and the middle of the night.

"Yeah," Isaac agreed. No one would be there to disturb them past midnight during the summer. The only souls in the grounds would be the house elves and the ghosts, perhaps the creatures in the lake, but they never bothered anyone, really. He wrapped his hand around Gabriella's, and set a slow pace for their on-foot journey to the Black Lake, what hurry were they in?

Gabriella ambled along at Isaac's side, holding his hand loosely in hers. It felt good to be walking down the street, not really worrying about anything. It was a nice change from her day-to-day life with all the hectic schedules and panic. She really needed more moments like this. Even at the slow pace, it didn't take too long before they were nearly on Hogwarts grounds.

Isaac stopped before the gates, the Order had placed a spell on them that required a password, much like the portraits to the common rooms in Hogwarts. He placed his free hand on the bars, looking straight ahead. "Fawkes flies with Hedwig," said Isaac. Noiselessly, the gates swung open, allowing them admission into the grounds. The lake was clearly visible, the reflection of the moon and stars upon its mirror-like surface.

Gabriella smiled as the gates opened, and watched them close behind her before facing the grounds. "It's almost like coming home," she said quietly. It was true; Hogwarts had been her home for seven years. This was truly a homecoming. It felt good to be back.

"Yeah," Isaac agreed, "it's going to be odd not coming back this September." Had he not gotten involved with Quidditch, he probably would have applied for an internship to become a professor, but Isaac was uncertain if he had enough specific skill in one area to teach on it. Maybe once he decided to leave Quidditch, perhaps he might really practice in one area to get certified.

"Definitely," Gabriella replied, knowing that it would be extremely difficult to make herself not come back to Hogwarts during the school year. Perhaps she would pay a couple of visits, but not too many; she would be busy. Besides, if the Order meetings continued to be held at the school, coming back wouldn't be an issue.

When they at last reached the lake, Isaac slid out of his flip flops, planning on rolling up his jeans and wading around in the shallows. If his memory served him right, the lake would be fairly warm still, since it would have been absorbing heat from the sun all day. Even if it was cold, though, it would not matter to him or Gabriella. Isaac was liking this time they had together more and more, it was as if they were the only people in the world.
