Carrietta blindly followed, unable to pay attention to where she was going. She was, however, able to muster the sense to snag the gate wit her foot as they crossed through it, bringing it to a shut with the gentle click of hollow metal against wood. Without even thinking, Carrietta plopped down onto the dew-coated grass, staring straight off into space as she continued to cry silently.

Cici rubbed her eyes, everyone always looked to her to be the leader, the strong one. Right now was one of those moments where she did not want to be. She was not going to allow herself to weep, not just then. She quietly instructed Avery to heal Wolfgang's body, they had to be respectful of the dead, she would have to get in contact with his parents, to ask where they would want the body buried. Cici knew his parents to be muggles, what would she tell them? The truth, her conscience said quietly. She made her way to Carrietta, kneeling beside her. "Did he say anything to you?" Cici asked, the last thing she needed was for the history teacher to break down.

Carrietta heard what was said, but as if Cici were clear across the property, not right beside her. She finally turned her head to look the headmistress in the eyes, while struggling to find her voice that did not seem to want to work. "He t-told me to tell h-her he was s-sorry," Carrietta whispered. This only made things all the worse for her to handle, she had known all about the ordeal with Angel, how everyone had sort of turned on him...

Cici felt her throat tighten, what was there to do? And where would they put Wolfgang's body? That had not been in the "job description" they had given to Mr. and Mrs. O'Malley upon requesting this to be quarters for Order members that needed to be hidden away. The guest house! Cici had forgotten about that, it was unfit for living, but it would be a good temporary resting place. "There's a guest house a kilometer west from here on the property, place him there," Cici said to Avery, then turned her attention to Carrietta, she needed help.

Carrietta finally dissolved into sobs, her heart pained so badly, never before had she envisioned suffering a loss as being this horrid. She did not even know Wolfgang all that well, but he was a comrade in this war, and she had been there as he had finally fallen... It chilled her to her very soul. Carrietta brought her knees to her chest and buried her eyes within them, this was terrible, and the war had only begun.

Cici wrapped her arms around Carrietta, what else was there to do? She could imagine why the history professor would be so upset, it was traumatizing to watch someone die, she herself knew this all to well. Cici shook the thoughts from her head, it was best to not dwell on them. "Come, we'll get you a drink and get you to bed," said Cici, unsure if there was anything else to do. She stood, and motioned for Carrietta to follow.

Carrietta followed behind slowly, almost blind because of her tears. She was inconsolable at this point, she was not sure if even alcohol would help her, even if she was bemused and giggly when she was intoxicated. Unless Cici was thinking of spiking her drink with some sort of potion. Carrietta stumbled on the stairs, but found the railing in the dark to prevent herself from falling, she blinked forcefully in the light of the indoors, her eyes needed to adjust, just like her mind did.
