Levi pulled in his last box, he only had five fair-sized ones filled with his things, and as for now his house was quite empty. He had only gotten his key a few days ago, and managed to get through his mother's tearfully goodbye, she still said that she would rather he stayed at home, but Levi had insisted that he was an adult now, and could handle living on his own. The house was a manor from the Victorian era, one could say that it had a lot of character. The paint was peeling, the floors creaked, and the electricity and plumbing were a bit shabby, but something about the house spoke to Levi.
One he got it all fixed up, he felt that it would be a great home, a place to relax at, if he ever got the time. Today was Sunday, the only day of the week when Levi refused to do any work whatsoever, but he otherwise was at the office from seven until one or two in the morning. Sometimes he even slept in his office if he was really swamped. But the money, oh God the money! Levi had loads to spend on whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it. He had paid cash in full for the house, it was wholly his, no mortgage or monthly payments; and he still had more than enough money to feed and clothe himself, as well as pay utilities.
Levi drew his wand and began to use simple spells to fix the paint and floors. The electricity and plumbing were going to need a bit of work, but he supposed magic could also fix those things relatively simply. Once he had finished the visual details on the first floor, Levi admired his handiwork, the house was certainly handsome, very tasteful. A sudden noise from the basement made him jump. Wand out, Levi made his way down the creaking stairs, the basement light was on. In front of him were the remnants of a broken vase, behind them, two trembling house elves in absolutely filthy pillowcases.
"D-D-Do not be angry with us, 'twas an accident!" one of them squeaked. Levi raised his eyebrows, the real estate agent had failed to tell him about house elves, but he assumed that Virginia Cooper was a muggle... "I'm not mad," said Levi. "The vase isn't mine anyway," The two house elves shrank away, flattening themselves against the wall. Levi wasn't sure what else there was to do, so he spoke up. "Well, I'm the new owner of this house," Levi began. He had barely finished his thought before both the elves sank in a very deep bow, so low their noses brushed the floor. "I is Peppers, and this is my daughter Salt," said the one that had spoken before. "It is a pleasure to serve you sir!" Salt piped up, it was only then Levi noticed a bulge around her abdomen in the pillowcase, was she pregnant?
"Well then," said Levi. "How about I get the both of you some clean towels?" Peppers and Salt looked positively delighted. He instructed the father and daughter house elves to follow him upstairs. "You must forgive Salt's slowness, sir," squeaked Salt as they ascended the stairs. "But I is to give birth any day now," Levi nodded, his assumption had been correct. "It's all right," said he. Salt burst into tears of happiness, and used her pillowcase to wipe her eyes and nose on her pillowcase. Levi provided the house elves with fresh towels from an open box, and told them to get changed. Peppers and Salt returned, wearing the white towels like togas.
"Looking sharp," Levi said to the house elves, in return they beamed at him,and without being asked began to unpack his things. Levi sat down on his only couch before the empty fire place as they scurried about, straightening and cleaning. The doorbell rang, Peppers and Salt looked at each other over a box, nodded, and then they both vanished with a quiet pop. Levi sighed and then went to answer the door, only to find himself looking at...

Raychel, beaming widely. She produced a bouquet of various, colorful flowers, leaning forward to place a soft kiss on Levi's cheek. She had donned a pair of dusty blue jeans and a fitted white short-sleeved shirt, her dark hair pulled into a ponytail. She had charmed her muddled green eyes brown and hidden the Dark Mark. No sense in angering Levi. She stepped over the threshold and frowned. She thought that they were going to unpack together, but already half of the boxes were emptied into their proper places. She turned to face him quickly but was distracted by the scent of house elves. Raychel's eyebrows rose in curiousity. "I didn't know you had house elves." she said, looking around curiously.

"I didn't know either," Levi said truthfully, closing the door behind his girlfriend. "But the real estate agent was a muggle." He conjured a vase of water to place the flowers in, but then remembered that he didn't have any convenient surfaces to place them on, other than the kitchen counter. So that was where he put them. "I'm not quite finished with the place," said Levi, "but I think once I get some furniture it'll be a bit more inhabitable."

"I see." Raychel replied. She scrutinized the room with her sharp senses before there were similtanious pops from a single corner. The two house elves bowed low to the floor, their noses scraping across the linoleum on which the stood. Raychel smiled gently. "No need to bow. I'm Raychel." she introduced, countering with a curtsey of her own."I is Salt, and he is Peppers." the female squeaked. Raychel tried not to take note of her swollen tummy popping out underneath their white toga-towels. She turned towards Levi and smiled gently.

"Would sir and miss likes some tea?" squeaked Peppers, taking a noticeable sidestep away from Raychel. Obviously, there was a trust-issue between house-elves and vampires. "If you could get me some that would be wonderful," Levi responded. "But I don't think that Raychel wants anything." Both the house elves nodded and then scurried off into the kitchen. He looked to his girlfriend and beamed. "You've got some time off I see," said Levi, slipping an arm around Raychel's waist.

"Thankfully, yes." Raychel replied, her sharp eyes remained leveled on where the house elves had left. Smaller creatures that could typically be seen as prey to her tended to shy away from her, and house elves particularly hated her kind. Strangely, Salt didn't seem to mind her presence, if not just tolerating it. Raychel briefly wondered if it had something to do with her pregnancy as she leveled her eyes on Levi's. "I thought this would be the perfect time to spend together."

"Of course it is," said Levi. "Anytime we get is perfect," He placed a light kiss on Raychel's cheek. He really needed to go furniture shopping, he didn't even have a bed yet. Tonight he supposed that he would be sleeping on the floor for a week until he got to next Sunday and had the opportunity to go shopping. He supposed he could transport one of the couches from his office to his house temporarily, just until he got his own stuff to fill the handsome house.

Raychel planted a soft kiss on Levi's lips as Peppers shuffled into the room, drink in hand. He showed his obvious disdain at the relationship between the human and vampire, but he plastered a smile onto his face as he presented his master with a drink. He left the room hastily as Salt entered, hand rubbing her swolled abdomen. She smiled gently at the duo, humming quietly to herself. The female houself was obviously the more gentle soul of the pair.

Levi gave a nod of thanks toward Peppers, and then took a quick sip of tea. "I really need to get some furniture," said Levi with a frown as he looked around at his empty house. It was probably going to be a bit spooky sleeping here the first few nights, especially with the general state of disrepair that the house was in, but Levi could handle it, he was too mentally exhausted to not be able to fall asleep.

Raychel looked about the room slowly. It was a regal house through the disarray, and would be lovely when finished. "I think I might have an old couch you could use. It would look good with the colors of the room." she said absently. Her mind drifted towards her own home, a thought she hardly ever had. She was there less and less, what with working with Isabelle and her recent estrangment with Gabby. They hadn't spoken in while, not that Raychel blamed her. They weren't seeing eye-to-eye as of late, since Raychel was consistantly worrying and whining. It was pathetic.

"I'll take a look at it sometime," said Levi, slipping his hand into Raychel's and squeezing it. He then led Raychel into what would be the sitting room when he got some things for it, and then sat down cross-legged on the floor, back leaning against the wall. He patted the spot beside him, a gesture for her to join him on the rather uncomfortable floor, but Levi's legs had grown tired of standing and the newly repaired wood floors gave them the respite they needed.

Raychel sat down on the ground, snuggling next to Levi. She sighed heavily, allowing her eyes to close. She wa mentally exhausted, something rare for her. Luckily, it wasn't showing on her features. All she wanted to do was clear her mind, which was a nearly impossible feat. Her mind was so overloaded with thoughts and emotions, it was constitantly working. She sighed heavily once more, cuttin off her train of thought abruptly. To acount for her behavior as of late, she opened her eyes and directed her lips gently to Levi's.

Levi kept their kissing at a low, innocent level. There was no need to make Raychel feel as if she were losing control. The same thoughts he had experienced when they were together back at his office caressed his mind again, they were tempting, but as he had done before, he shoved them away. Perhaps he could brew the Elixir of Life instead, so they would never have to be without one another... Levi brought his hand to Raychel's cheek, and then slowly to her dark tresses.
