Like back in the office, Levi's pulse quickened, then retreated. He was continually thinking about something, then pushing it away. It was intriguing, but Raychel was content on living in the moment for the time being. She brought one hand gently to his face, her touch increasingly soft. Her other hand went to his arm, running her fingers delicately over it. Raychel was completely content with the soft affection; it was a normal thing. Whatever normal was anymore at least.

Levi loved Raychel's hair, it was his favourite part of her to touch. It was so soft, and the texture of her loosely curly tresses was interesting to feel. And it was long, Levi didn't care much for short hair. He gently broke their kiss, but left his face close to hers, so he could feel her smooth, cool skin of her cheek against his own. Words could not describe how this moment felt, it was just... Flawless.

As his ran his hands through her hair, a memory flooded back to Raychel. It was human, but it was crystal clear. The two were sitting together, much like now, and Levi said something about how he never wanted her to cut her hair. She smiled bitterly, but gently. That seemed to be the only concern two months ago: not changing her hair. Now their lives were much more complex than that. Raychel ran her hand that was on Levi's cheek to the nape of his neck. "I love you." she whispered sweetly.

"I love you too," Levi whispered back, his hand finding a comfortable resting positon at the side of Raychel's face. Every feature upon her blended beautifully to the next, nothing feeling awkward or out of place in the slightest. Perfectly symmetrical, science's definition of beauty. Perhaps something rang true with that analysis. Levi smiled gently, nothing would be able to spoil this for him just then.

Raychel was leaning in for another kiss when Peppers cleared his throat. Raychel turned to look at him and he took a step backward. She realized how cold and dead her gaze must've looked and she immediately buried her face in Levi's shoulder. The last thing she wanted was for the poor thing to have another reason to fear her. She was already a bloody-thirsty murderer. What more was there for her to be at this point?

"Yes?" Levi said, raising his eyebrows at Peppers, but was not going to get angry with him. Levi had mentally decided that he was going to be a different type of house elf owner, never punish them unless they did anything severely wrong. "Oh, nothing, sir," said Peppers, bowing deeply so the end of his pencil-like nose brushed the newly repaired floor. "Peppers just has a bit of a cough." As if to contribute to his story, he fake-coughed into his hand again, and then left the room.

Raychel rose an eyebrow curiously, then turned back towards Levi. Smiling, she leaned in and gave him a long, soft, passionate kiss. She leaned her forehead against his when they broke the kiss. "What're you thinking about?" she asked softly, her curiousity at a peak. He seemed to be thinking often, and it seemed relatively important to him. She smiled gently, closing her eyes and awaiting his answer.[/blcokquote]

Levi smiled softly as they broke apart, but this grin did not linger long, as Raychel inquired about what had been on his mind of late. He thought about it often, but knew that it would not be a wise idea, he didn't want Raychel to get angry with him. He hated to see her upset. "Just about everything, life, my job, when the next time I can get four hours of sleep might be," said Levi. While this was true, it wasn't everything that was on his mind, and he certainly hoped Raychel would not pursue the topic further.

Raychel was about to inquire further when Salt staggered in, holding her stomach tenderly. She bowed as low as her swollen belly would allow, then straightened up slowly. "Is there anything Sir and Madam would like from Salt?" she squeaked politely. Raychel smiled and shook her head. "Nothing for me, thank you Salt." she replied. Salt beamed widely, tears springing out of her eyes. "Salt thanks you Madam." the pregnant house elf stammered delightedly. Her past master must've been a cruel one, for the house elf to be acting as such. The breed was always grateful, but not this much. Raychel graciously beamed back.

"Nothing for me either, thanks," said Levi to his elf. Salt nodded, her eyes welling up with tears of happiness. Levi would have normally suggested that Salt go and rest, but he knew that saying something along the lines of that was highly offensive to a house elf. So Levi held his tongue, and then turned his attention back onto Raychel, looking upon her with a soft smile.

Salt left and Raychel turned back towards Levi. He was staring at her with an adoring smile. "What?" she asked. It wasn't a rude remark, nor did it sound like one. It was a sweet, loving tone, with the smallest trace of a laugh. She cocked her head slightly, questioningly.

"I still can't believe how lucky I am," said Levi, bringing his hand up to lightly caress Raychel's cheek. Sure, it was a bit cheesy, but the words that he spoke were the truth. She was absolutely breathtaking, while he was average in most regards. Raychel didn't deserve him, she deserved better, but the fact that she didn't seem to care...

Raychel smiled, laughing musically. She grasped Levi's hand in her own, keeping it on her cheek. "And what about me?" she asked. "I have you afterall. An extremely attractive, extremely intelligent man. Not to mention a human who could love a careless vampire." she replied with a soft smile. She gazed deeply into Levi's eyes. Again, her mind flirted on marriage. This time however, the thought didn't leave.

"First off, you're not careless," said Levi, placing a light kiss on Raychel's cheek, he really didn't like it when she put herself down, it wasn't fair to an amazing young woman like her. "And secondly, you're the most gorgeous, talented, woman that I've ever met, don't you for a split second describe yourself as anything less."

Raychel opened her mouth to protest, but she merely leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. They broke apart and she reached up and caressed his face. "I would never. For you, never." she replied softly. She leaned forward once more and placed a soft kiss on his cheek, forehead, and finally, his lips. This kiss dragged out, but it was soft.
