Ella shushed her husband gently when she heard the faint sound of knocking at the door. "Oh shit, it's Liam," she said, she was nowhere near being ready. She had packed last night, of course, but she had not showered nor gotten dressed. As usual, she and Devon had woken early, but after a light breakfast they had gone back to the bedroom. Today, she would get to see her sister, tomorrow, she would leave for the Arctic. Ella performed a quick spell which was the equivalent of taking a shower, and then hurriedly pulled on some muggle attire as she sent Devon to greet her brother-in-law.

When it was Devon that greeted him, his chest bare and looking as if he had only just hastily pulled on pyjama pants, Liam had to hold back a chuckle. It didn't take a genius to figure out what he and Ella had been doing that morning. Hopefully he would be all right with his wife leaving to track down, and negotiate with, a bunch of dementors. The idea certainly was not terribly comforting. "She's getting ready, I presume?" Liam asked of Devon, to which he nodded in quiet reply.

Ella strode into the room as she used a hair-tie to pull her hair into a smooth ponytail. "Sorry about the wait," Ella said to her brother-in-law with a smile. That time spent alone with Devon this morning had put her in a wonderful mood, why would it not? She knew it was painfully obvious what they had been doing, she usually liked to keep her sex-life discreet, but hopefully Liam wasn't going to talk about it.

Liam gave forth a small smile, it was hard not to at Ella's obviously awkward behaviour. It was as if she had expected him to not be able to put two and two together. "No trouble at all," said Liam. "Although we had best be going, I assume you want to see your sister as soon as possible." He was not going to bother to tell Ella that this would be the last of her husband she would see in a long time, he did not want to spoil the good mood that she was currently in.

Ella nodded to Liam, and then turned to face her husband. He was such a strong-looking man, but he was so gentle with her, always treating her as if she were the most precious thing in the world. She loved him so much, in spite of how her parents seemed to hate him. "I love you," said Ella. "I'll try to be back as soon as I can." She placed a delicate, soft kiss upon his lips, her pale skin contrasting against his ebony tone. With one final kiss to her husband, Ella led the way out of her flat.

Once he closed the door behind them, Liam took his sister-in-law by the hand e looked cautiously first left, then right. Without a word, he disapparated, taking Ella along with him. He had failed to tell her where it was that they were going, that would be kept confidential. But he supposed that Cici's younger sister had the right to know that she was going to be an aunt. Liam's feet toughed lightly to the ground just outside his parent's farm.

Ella took in a sharp breath of air, although she was good at it, she had never cared much for apparation. But she knew that it would be perhaps the fastest method of travel, and the sooner she saw her sister, the sooner her mind would be a bit more at ease. She followed closely behind Liam down the country dirt road, her excitement growing. It had been so long since she had seen Cici, she missed her, and needed a first-hand proof that she was fine.

Cici had seen within her orb that Ella would be there, she did not know when, but she had hoped that it would be soon. Besides, the image had been so clear, it would have to be sometime in the near future. So, she had decided that morning she was going to take a walk outside, just to see if her sister would show up. Cici was a bit puzzled as to how she would get there, as Liam had told her he was keeping her location entirely confidential. But she would get there somehow, she just had to.

Liam pushed open the low gate in the picket fence that marked the boundaries into his parents' farms. He quickly ushered Ella inside and closed the gate behind him. He smiled at his wife, but kept back, as he knew that Ella would want to go and embrace her older sister the second that she saw her. He leaned against the low picket fence, to stay out of her path.

Ella beamed from ear-to-ear as Cici came into her line of vision. She felt like she was nine years old all over again, being so excited as she saw her elder sister for the first time in months as she came home for summer vacation. She hurriedly closed the gap between them and pulled her sister in a gentle hug. "I missed you!" Ella said enthusiastically.

"Oh, I missed you too, Ella," said Cici, hugging her sister back, thankful that her embrace was gentle. She had been most regretful that she had not been able to tell her younger sister what was happening before she had to be hidden away. But now that they were together, if only for a little while, they could do some catching up. Cici blew a kiss in Liam's direction, her subtle form of greeting, and asking if they could get a bit of privacy for a while.

Liam smiled and nodded to his wife, and then went in direction of his parents' tiny little farm cottage. It was a cute place, although conditions had been terribly cramped growing up with his siblings. He slipped in the front door and made his way to the sitting room, where his mother was, knitting, and his father reading the muggle newspaper. "Morning mum and dad," said he as he took an available spot in one of the rocking chairs his father had hand-built.

After a long moment, Ella released her sister, looking her up and down. Her attire practically screamed Divination professor, what with her long skirt, tunic, and wood beads. Nevertheless, Ella still had droves of affection for her older sister. "Would you kindly tell me what has been going on with you?" asked Ella, hint of concern dotting her otherwise semi-pleasant tone.

Cici chuckled, although on the inside she felt terribly guilty for having not been able to tell Ella the moment that she and Liam had found out. But all of that would be fixed now. "Ells, you're going to be an aunt," said Cici, unable to restrain her excitement. "I'm pregnant!" In spite of how frequently she vomited, just knowing that she was carrying life within her was extremely thrilling.

Ella let out a half-shriek of happiness, and then went at her sister with another hug, making especially sure that she was gentle. She was excited for her sister, she had known how long Cici and Liam had tried to conceive, all the days and night she spent comforting Cici as test after test came back negative. Finally, her dream was coming true. "Congratulations!" Ella proclaimed, mirroring her sister's excitement.
