Angel stood before the front door of what used to be her home; the place was now intimidating, rather than welcoming as it used to be. She was going to try and speak with her parents, she was pretty certain that it wouldn't be able to, but she had to try. She raised a lightly trembling fist and knocked firmly on the door three times. Angel grasped her left wrist in her right hand as she waiting for someone to open the door. It was Sunday; and Angel knew for a fact that Ginny and Harry would be home, neither of them worked on the weekends.
It was more so Harry that she wanted to speak with, as Angel had a feeling that Ginny didn't have any say in throwing her out. She didn't want to move back in by any means; she was an adult and had her own flat now, but she needed to make things right with him. Angel took in a deep breath as she heard footsteps on the other side of the door, bracing herself for what she was going to have to do.

Alex jumped up from her seat at the kitchen table when she heard the knock on the door. She had been eating a late lunch with her parents, as they had gone out in the late morning. "I'll get it," Alex announced, and Ginny nodded, giving her the permission to get the door.
She bounded over, her usual energy in full stride that day. Peeking out the little window pane in the door, she spotted her older sister, Angel, standing just outside. Grinning, Alex yanked open the door and gave her sister a sudden hug. "Angie!" she exclaimed happily, unaware that both her parents were now coming down the hallway toward them.

"Hey Alex," Angel said with a smile, returning the hug from her sister. She looked up from her younger sister to her parents; neither of them looked mad, but they didn't seem pleased. At least someone around here is happy to see me, she thought dismally to herself. "I just want to talk," said Angel, looking directly at Harry, she was more concerned about him than Ginny. "May I come in?" There was a long pause where nobody said anything. "Of course you can," Ginny said, ushering Angel in and closing the door behind her.

Disliking the suddenly somber mood, Alex followed her parents and Angel back into the kitchen. She bit into her sandwich and looked at her sister once more, then at her father. He was still yet to say anything, though Alex half expected him to yell at her. The room was awkwardly silent for a moment. "How are you?" Ginny blurted after a moment, then appeared to bite her lip.

"I'm okay mum," said Angel, the word feeling awkward on her lips. It had been such a long time since she had spoken with her mother, it almost felt alien to address Ginny that way. But there wasn't any denying that they were all connected by blood, nothing Harry did or said could ever change that. "Dad, I know you're angry with me, I know I messed up," said Angel, her full attention on her father. "I'm not expecting you to give me anything; I just want to know my own father loves me, and will love his grandsons, please,"
