Raychel nodded. She had gone past that place as a young child. All her Hogwarts friends would dare her to go inside and touch the walls. Raychel had been inside one or twice, but that was years ago. The house itself was rather beautiful. Most thought it ugly, but it was unique in her mind. Unique was good. "So I'm guessing you want to clean out the place." she replied with a knowing smile. Gabriella was quite the brave soul, since most were even scared to be near the house. It was strange for people to be scared of something so irrational.

Gabriella shook her head. While that would be quite fun, it wouldn't really be worth it to spend days cleaning out a house to only live in it for a few months. "No, it's just where I always Apparate when I'm going on that side of town," she explained. "It's in walking distance of everything. We're going to need an apartment. Mortgage rates are too high to get a house right now." Gabriella scrunched up her nose slightly so that her hair straightened out a bit. Then she pulled it up into a ponytail and allowed it to curl once more.

Raychel sighed. "Aww, cleaning the house would've been fun." She teased. She waited for Gabriella's mark, not wanting to Apparate first. Gabby was in charge of this little party, not she. Raychel was going to be her normal, curteous self.

After chuckling a bit to Raychel's teasing, she nodded to her friend. "Alright, I'll meet you in the parlor," Gabriella said, tightening her ponytail slightly. Then with a loud crack, she vanished. Gabriella reappeared inside the abandoned house which was, as usual, abandoned. She made sure her eyes were still brown, then waited for Raychel.

Raychel quickly pulled her hair into a ponytail as Gabby had done, then she too, Apparated. She landed a few feet from her friend. She let loose her long curls and shook her head once. Leaning against one of the old pieces of furniture, she waited for Gabby's direction. She hadn't been here in a while, and so she didn't remember where most things were. Gabby probably knew better than she.

Gabriella waved her wand over herself so that she was in Muggle attire. It might make the difference in landing a good apartment, after all. Some of the land lords and ladies were awfully weird about appearances. Gabriella smiled as Raychel appeared and then peaked out the front window of the abandoned house. "Ready?" she asked her friend, using telekinesis to pin a strand of her hair back up into her ponytail.

Raychel nodded. She placed her wand inside her pocket. She had charmed all of her jeans and pants, and various other things to carry her wand. It was almost like Mary Poppins' bag, appearing small but actually quite roomy. She pushed herself up from the chair and followed Gabriella out. The town was much different from when she last had been there. New stores and houses gleamed across every inch. There were actually people inside for a change. Raychel turned up her nose slightly. Muggles were very strange.

Gabriella smiled at her friend and opened the front door of the abandoned house and walked out onto the sidewalk. "I think we'll first look at an apartment on the next block," Gabriella commented, turning right and continuing down the street. She felt rather awkward in her Muggle attire, but tried not to let it bother her too much. It wouldn't be long before she could be back in robes again.
