A Terrifying Surprise (Levi/Gabby/Angel)

Raychel smiled hesitantly. Going forward seemed stupid, considering they had just started dating. She hurriedly came up with something to fill the void. "I will be right back." she replied with a smile. She untangled herself from Levi and headed to the bathroom. She was still wearing the bathrobe. Although it was comfortable, she wanted to get some actual clothes on. She pulled on what she had been wearing, then fluffed out her hair before returning to the room. She pulled herself next to Levi once more, feeling bad about not finishing her sentence truthfully.

During Raychel's absence, Levi frowned a bit, wondering what she could have possibly wanted to say. It would most likely dominate his mind for the next few days, before deciding that it wasn't that important and all but forget about it. That was the way it always was with him. Levi ran his hand through his hair, and when Raychel sat down beside him, placed his arm around her shoulders. The piano vanished into nothingness and was replaced by a fireplace, the warm flames within it crackling happily as if they had been burning for hours.

Raychel was still biting her lip about lying to Levi. It was tearing her apart. Something about the seriousness of the words she had been about to utter had been threatening. She feared it would hurt him if she went too fast, but she wanted to. With Levi, it wasn't anything childish or whimsical about the relationship. It was strong, passionate, and down-right compassionate. And loyal too. Raychel knew Levi would never leave her, and she would never leave him. "Levi..." she looked up to him. She caressed his face lightly before continuing. "I love you."

Levi closed his eyes lightly when Raychel gently put her fingers to his face, a light caressing gesture. And that's when he felt that everything between them changed entirely. Levi could hardly believe that Raychel had told him that she loved him, it felt too soon, but at the same time, so right. He opened his eyes slowly, and then took his girlfriend's hand in his own. Very lightly, he kissed each of her fingers. "I love you, too," said Levi, and he was dead serious.

Raychel smiled sweetly, but bashfully. It was the most wonderful feeling in her mind, when she knew that someone loved her back. Levi's love was hers to hold now, since her parents' love was taken from her. She kissed the back of his hand and laid her head on his chest. She was satisfied now. If the world were to end, she would be happy just to die in his arms. She smiled and began humming, something she did often in times of contentment.

Levi kept his arms around Raychel, never before had he felt what love was like. Raychel was the first person he had ever kissed, spent time with in a romantic sense. Love had been far from his mind up until this point in his life. Now it was what he was consumed with. Ever since he had really met Raychel in the Great Hall, Levi had known there was something more between them, this moment they shared together only confirmed this fact.
