Sydney finished her priming then turned towards Bella. "So... what have you heard about the Death Eater activity farther up in London." she asked before she could stop herself. She didn't mean to ask such a silly question. Plus, Bella could interpret that question in a hundred different ways, the majority of which didn't look too good for Sydney. She quietly bit her tongue, wondering if Bella was going to blow up or answer the stupid question.

Bella felt her heart stop for a moment as Sydney brought up the topic of Death Eaters. She recovered quickly, thinking that this girl couldn't possibly know about her. After all, they weren't even in the same house. "Just what everyone else knows," Bella replied with a shrug. "Like they've started up again and that old nurse of ours is their leader. What do you know?" Of course Bella was lying a bit, but she had become such a good liar over the past few years, that it was impossible to tell.

Sydney shrugged. "The same." she replied curtly. She didn't want to seem stupid, so she bit her tongue before blurting out some more useless information. She normally wasn't so naive, so this overwhelming urge to act like a complete moron came as a complete shock to her. To make up for the awkward silence, she turned back towards the mirror. She pretended to examine herself once more, hoping that Bella would continue the conversation with a relaxing topic.

Bella could tell that Sydney wasn't telling her the whole truth, but, for once, didn't pursue the matter any further. Sydney began to look at herself in the mirror once more. Bella could tell it was fake, but really didn't care. The other girl was nervous, and it showed. Bella was determined that her own nerves would never show. So they didn't. "We should get out of this bathroom," she said after a moment, a time in which she was pretty sure Sydney had been near a panic. It was becoming harder to tell, though.

Sydney turned and nodded hesitantly. She allowed Bella to take the lead and together they practically ran out of the restroom and into the hallway. She stopped with Bella. "Where to?" she asked casually, as if the whole exchange in the bathroom hadn't even occurred.
((OOC: Sorry for the awful writer's block, busy typing my paper too))

(OOC: It's fine, I know the feeling) "Outside," Bella said confidently once they were out of the confines of the bathroom. She headed for the stairs. They didn't have very far to go down, but Bella felt like fresh air was miles away. The whole scenario had been a bit weird. As she walked down the stairs, she turned to Sydney. "Do you play Quidditch?" she asked.

Sydney shook her head. No doubt the confusion was evident on her face. She continued to follow Bella, curious as to where this mysterious girl was leading her. She had been shoved out of the bathroom so quickly. It was almost as if... they were being watched. Being the paranoid girl that she was, she look behind her momentarily. Feeling a bit more secure when she didn't see anyone, she continue to jog behind Bella.
