A Long Time(open)

[hiroku]

"Alright, stand back a bit," Hiroku replied, then glanced around her. There weren't many people, and those that were near were all witches and wizards, so she was clear. Muggles always steered clear of this place anyways. Hiroku looked in Laura's place and saw that there was just one ratty blanket. She whipped out her wand and Transfigured the blanket into a big and thick one. It was also rather soft. Then she conjured up a few more, as well as a nice mattress so Laura wouldn't have to sleep on the ground. Hiroku finished with two comfy pillows. "Better?" she asked, turning around to look at Laura again.

"Yeah!" she said excitedly. "Thank you!" She had never meet someone who tried to help her. This would make the nights a lot better and a little more like back home. She missed home. Life was so good before her house was robbed.

[hiroku]

Hiroku smiled. "You're welcome; I'm just glad I could help you out a little bit," she replied, glad that something she had done seemed worthwhile. Everything else just seemed pointless right now. Hiroku checked her watch. It was about time for dinner. "You want to go get something to eat?" she asked.

"No thank you" she said. Hiroku had given her so munch already. She couldn't accept anymore. Plus she was already eating. She noticed that the ice cream was starting to drip. She licked all the way around to stop the dripping.

[hiroku]

"Are you sure?" Hiroku asked, hoping she could persuade Laura for one more thing. Ice cream wasn't exactly a meal, after all, and it was almost gone already. "Because I'm all alone for the weekend, so I have no one to go out to eat with." Hiroku sighed; this was indeed true. With Wolfgang in France and her mother being a Muggle, she would be dining alone tonight anyway.

"But you've already given me so munch. I really can't accept anymore" she replied. She always felt a little guilty taking handouts. She hadn't gotten them vary often until today. Usely no one noticed her or paid her any mind.

[hiroku]

Hiroku nodded slightly. "It's really not that much," Hiroku protested. "After all, I'll probably never see you again, considering I'll be graduating from Hogwarts and you'll be entering as a first year. Just one dinner?" Hiroku shrugged her shoulders and smiled slightly.

"Well... ok" she replied. She still felt guilty tho. What did Hiroku mean when she said it's not really that much? It was. "Where are we gonna go?" she asked. She wondered if Hiroku had planed that or not.

Hiroku shrugged; she hadn't really thought that far. She just wanted to get some food into Laura's small body and help her out, even if it was just a little bit. "I don't care, do you have any preference?" she asked Laura, pretty sure what the answer would be.

"No wherever you want to go" she said. "But we don't have to. You've given me so munch and I haven't done anything for you." Why did Hiroku want to help her so munch. She was just a stupid good for nothing street girl.

[hiroku]

"Don't worry about it; I'm just happy to have company," Hiroku replied, starting to walk down the street, but making sure Laura was following. "I'm thinking we should go to the Italian place on the corner. It's muggle food, but it's pretty good. Do you like Italian?"

"Yeah" she replied. "I used to go there with my family sometimes." She missed her family. They had gone to all sorts of places together and had so munch fun. I less then a day she had gone from rich to poor.

[hiroku]

Hiroku nodded, but she was dying to know what had happened to Laura's family and why she was on the street. After all, it didn't really sound like they had kicked her out or anything. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your family?" Hiroku asked while they were walking.

Laura looked up at her trying not to cry. She wished she hadn't asked. "W-well m-my family was robbed and m-murdered" she replied. One signal tear dripped down her cheek. Then they began to turn into more. Why did she have to cry.? She felt like such a baby.

Laura was quickly losing her composure and Hiroku now felt really bad for inquiring about Laura's family. She squatted down a bit and wrapped her arms around the girl in a hug. "I'm so so sorry," Hiroku said, imagining what it would be like to lose her mother, or worse, Wolfgang. The pain would be unbearable.
