Ariana walked onto the Pitch at five in the morning. She couldn't sleep and had no intention of trying. It was still dark and the wind was howling across the empty stands. Ariana had her broom in her hand. She mounted it and kicked off of the ground as hard as she could. A nice fly would clear her mind of all the things bumping around in it. The night air blew through her fall jacket and pushed her hair away from her face. Out of the corner of her eye she could see a figure entering the Pitch. Ariana stopped her broom in midair, watching, trying to figure out who it was. When they called her name they knew that it was...

"Ari?" Jasmine called. She had almost went out on another journey into Firewhiskey paradise, but as she was heading out of Hogwarts she saw someone in the Pitch, so she decided to have a quick look. Jasmine waited on the ground for Ariana's replied.

[lily]

Ariana swooped down gracefully. She stopped her broom and dismounted. "Yeah?" She asked casually. She could tell Jasmine must have been crying again. Ariana rocked back on her heels, studying her cousn for signs of being drunk or having a hangover.

Jasmine shot Ariana a stern look. "I haven't been drinking." she hissed. "I came to see what you were up to..." she trailed off, not really wanting Ariana to know where she had been headed. The crisp October air hit her face, blowing her wavy blond ponytail around.

[lily]

Ariana leaned on her broom. "So you came out at five in the morning to check up on your pathetic little cousin?" She asked skeptically. She knew the look in Jasmine's eyes. The one that Ariana had when she went on drinking sprees.

[rebel]

Jasmine threw her hands up in defeat. "Fine." she mumbled. "I'm just so... worried." she replied. Her legs gave out underneath her and she sat down on the ground in one fluid movement. "I want him to be safe, but..." she trailed off, not wanting to be upset.

[lily]

Ariana dropped her broom and sat down next to her cousin. "But you can't stand to be away from him?" Ariana asked with a shrug. She tried to think about what to say to make her cousin feel better, but no words formed. She sighed and slumped back, trying to think.

"No. I can't." Jasmine replied. "I hate that stupid Tournament. I hate the fact he had to go and leave me. I hate his friends and their stupid dares. But I miss him." she replied quietly, turning to look at Ariana.

[lily]

Ariana sighed. "You have to admit it was his desicion to enter. The fact he took the dare. He didn't think that they would pick him. You know he misses you too" Ariana explained, still sprawled out on the ground. She was tempted to pull out her pain killer, even though she felt no pain. She had found it addicitve when taking over doses while she was in the muggle world.

Jasmine laid her hand on Ariana's. "Stop. The last thing I need is my 14 year old cousin high." she said. "Ari, put it away. Please" she replied sternly. "I know he does. I need to send him a letter."

[lily]

Ariana grudingly slid the pain killer back into her pocket. "Don't Hogwarts students get to go to the tournament as well?" Ariana asked, her fingers twitching. She felt like she needed those drugs in her system. God, she was addicted.

[rebel]

Jasmine shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure. Probably. But then again, its not like I'd be able to. I have to many ties here. Plus, if something were to happen..." she trailed off, feeling tears burn her eyes. "God damn it."

[lily]

Ariana sighed. Her fingers caressed the pain killer. She was getting twitchy from not haveing it in her system made her crazy. "What ties?" Ariana asked out of curiousity, still playing with the nearly empty drug.

Jasmine hesitated. "I don't know." she finally admitted. She was just to scared, and the last thing she wanted was to witness Ryan's death. But, then again, she wanted to be there with him if he were to die...

[lily]

"If it's your drinking problem whatever. But you can get whiskey there. If it's you're family, that's a choice I can't help you make. If you have another lover here" Ariana gave her cousin a teasing smile. "I won't tell Ryan" She sat up and couldn't stand it anymore. She chucked the pain killer across the Pitch.
