Angel smiled very softly, feeling so weary, so weak. Her battle against the venom was done, but the aftermath was the hardest, it took longer to recover than to fight it off. She wished Wolfgang were there, he would stroke her hair, and tell her everything would be all right. He would sing her their song... "It's the most wonderful thing in the world." Angel said.

Gabriella smiled, but immediately began to frown. Angel looked so weak at the moment, like she could just fall apart. Gabriella bit her lip, careful not to slice through it. "Is there anything I can get you, Ang?" she asked softly.

Angel gave a feeble shake of her head, causing a jolt of pain to shoot up her neck and to her temples. She just needed to be still, to avoid damaging herself farther. her memory of the event was foggy, she couldn't recollect much. "No, I just need to take it easy a while." Angel said.

Gabriella sighed slightly as she nodded quickly. She wished she could do something, but the damage had already been done, she couldn't take back her venom, though she had tried. "Rest up then, Ang," Gabriella replied, leaning back against the bed she had been sitting on.

"See you in a few hours, or so." Angel said sleepily. She allowed her eyelids to slide closed. She drifted off to sleep quickly. She hated to leave Gabriella just sitting by her bed with nothing to do, after all, she was unable to sleep. But Angel couldn't force open her eyelids for the life of her. This was fine.

"Goodnight Angel," Gabriella said softly as her cousin's eyelids slid shut. For the moment Angel looked perfectly peaceful, and Gabriella tried to act like that as well. The pillows behind her were comfortable, but her mind was not at ease. Her thoughts wavered the the vampire. She shuddered.

There were no dreams this time. It had been a long time since Angel had had a dream. The last she could clearly remember was beginning of 5th year, she dreamed of Wolfgang so frequently... But her brain of late had been too tired to conjure even a simple dream. Angel slept on, unaware that she had pulled the blankets over her head and her feet were sticking out at the bottom.

Pulling out her wand, Gabriella performed a spell to make the blankets a bit longer. There. Now they covered Angel's feet once more. Gabriella leaned back again and closed her eyes. Visions of the trees she had knocked over ran through her head, as well as all the times she had gotten mad and yelled at her friends.

Angel twitched lightly in her sleep. She rolled over onto her stomach, face straight down in the feathery pillow. Life was wonderful for the moment. ***The next day*** Angel awoke, it was dark. Or maybe that was because she was face-first in her pillow, the blankets over her head. She rolled over and pulled the blanket off her head. "Morning, sleepyhead," said...

Gabriella, quite cheerfully for someone who had sat there all night watching over her cousin. "It's about time you woke up," she teased. It was still well before breakfast, but just like Angel to wake up this early. Gabriella laughed slightly.

Angel gave a small chuckle, she sat up, feeling much stronger than yesterday. Her head no longer throbbed with her movements, but she was still straining herself to move. At least she had improved. Angel noted how light it was outside. "Wow, how long was I out?" Angel asked, stretching.

Gabriella shrugged. "Long enough," she said, staring out the window at the sun. "It's about 7 AM. It still gets light pretty early, doesn't it?" Gabriella looked back to Angel. "How do you feel this morning?" she asked.

"Much better," Angel said, then yawned. She wished that she could have slept longer, but her internal clock would have none of that. If she woke up much later than 8 o' clock she would be irritable all day. "Hopefully I'll be discharged before classes start, I shudder to think at the work I'll have to do." she said.

Gabriella smiled. This was Angie alright, always thinking about schoolwork. It was just like her. "Don't worry," she replied. "If they don't discharge you I'll bring you all of your classwork and homework." Gabriella was extremely glad that her cousin was feeling better.

Angel smiled. She supposed she did have her time-turner that was on her bed-side table in her dormitory. Gabriella was smart enough to answer the question to get inside. "Very kind of you," Angel said, unable to relax her smile. She was always a morning person.
