Jasmine moved quickly. "God damn it... CICI!" she screamed down the hallway. She kept screaming it. Some first years heard her and, frightened by her constant cursing, ran off. She kept yelling, momentarily looking back to see if Angel was alright.

[calcetines]

Angel gasped, falling into another short respite from the violent illness. She was wheezing for air, where had Jasmine gone? Why was Gabriella still there? Everything had a fuzzy outline to it, the floor was swaying like the deck of a ship in storm-tossed waters. She vomited again. "Jazz... North... T-Tower!" Angel gasped after her cousin, although she knew the chances of Jasmine hearing her wheezing was sparse. She fell into another seizure.

Jasmine, amazingly, heard her cousin. "North Tower... GOT IT!" she yelled, taking off down the hallway. Pumping her legs, though they felt on fire, she pushed on. The hallways seemed to go on forever, that final stairwell a spirling mountain. She climbed it, jumping two steps at a time. She pounded on the door, both hands clenched intofists. Her bouncy blond ponytail sticking to her face, she continued to pound on the door, not really caring. "CICI!" she screamed.

Cici had been gazing into her crystal ball, she had found her inner-eye to be quite clouded today, there was nothing there. The orb would just conjure gray mist, sometimes it would form rough shapes, and then to tantalize her, they would fade once more into the fog. She looked up quickly, and flicked her wand to open the trap door. Jasmine Weasley was there. Quickly, she glanced through the terrified girl's mind. "Good Lord!" Cici said under her breath, then took off at a surprising speed for someone of her structure, ran for the place she had seen in Jasmine's mind. She knelt beside the thrashing Angel. "Miss Potter, Miss Potter, can you hear me?" she asked frantically.

Sure, Angel heard the Headmistress, but only as if from a far distance, and if she were only whispering. Even if she had heard her clearly, there was no way Angel would be able to respond. This round wasn't stopping, Angel could barely breathe... And then everything stopped. She was completely still, hardly breathing, barely able to move...

[igloogirl]

Gabriella released her grip on her cousin's body as she stopped shaking. Cici's here, Cici will know what to do, everything will be okay, she thought, her mind filling with relief. "I...I didn't know," Gabriella whispered, more to herself than to anyone else in the room.

Jasmine, panting, collapsed on the bed. Sure, she was a runner, she loved to run, but mixed in with panic made her exhausted. She closed her eyes, letting her mind wander to far away places, although she didn't want to dream. Only nightmares would come.

There wasn't much that could be done, Cici could awaken Angel, but then she would be in excruciating pain... The only thing they could do was wait. Cici pulled Gabriella aside, gently grasping her by her forearms, looking into her eyes. "I want you to listen to me Miss Weasley, and I want you to listen closely." Cici said in an undertone. "You did the right thing. Angel will be alright, unfortunately, there isn't anything that can be done. You didn't do wrong. It was very brave of the both of you." She released Gabriella. "Twenty points to Ravenclaw and Gryffindor."

Jasmine awoke sweating. Did I really fall asleep? she asked herself. She looked around the room, and saw Cici hovering over Angel, who was now placed in a hospital bed. She carefully stepped out of the bed she had rested on and looked around, rubbing her eyes.

Although she knew there wasn't anything that could be done, Cici was still anxious. Should she write to Mr. and Mrs. Potter? Something told her that was a good thing to do. But she didn't want Howlers the next morning at breakfast... They would behave that rashly, would they? Cici settled herself on a chair and wrote the letter. "Jasmine, take this to the owlery and send it with a school owl, will you? Tell them it's for the Potters." Cici instructed once she sealed the envelope.

"I'll take it," Gabriella volunteered. Jasmine looked very tired and Gabriella was anxious to clear her head. She needed to get out of that room, needed to stop staring at the unconscious Angel. She held out her hand for Cici to give her the letter.

Jasmine watched helplessly as Gabriella trotted out of the hospital wing. Jasmine turned back to Angel, and she almost felt tears. She had just lost her father, and she couldn't bare to lose her cousin, just bare hours apart. It was all too terrifying.

As soon as she was outside the hospital wing, Gabriella broke into a run. No one would be in the hallways anyway. She reached the owlrey very quickly and a school owl flew over to her, landing to her right. The owl took the letter in its beak, and looked to her for instructions. "The...the Potters," Gabriella stuttered. Unfazed, the owl flew away. Gabriella began to walk out, slowly this time, breathing heavily.

Jasmine caught up with her cousin almost instantly. She helped Gabby walk along, knowing she was a bit weary. "Are you alright Gabs?" she asked quickly as they made their way back towards the hospital wing, towards Cici and Angel.

Angel was very still, if it weren't for the small movements of her chest rising and falling that were too small and slowto be normal, she could pass off for being dead. Vampire venom was a poison to her body. It wasn't much, it was almost defeated. Her systems were tired, they needed to recover. Unfortunately, the only thing that helped was time.
