Changes (Gabby)

Gabriella eyed the tree, up and down. "103 years," she declared after a moment. She didn't know how she knew the figure, but it had just come to her, like her vampire eyes could actually tell. Brown eyes glinting, she turned back to face Angel.

[calcetines]

Angel gazed at Gabriella, politely puzzled. "How did you-" Angel began, then figured it had something to do with Gabriella's freaky vampire senses. "Oh, never mind." she quickly added. This was a very old tree. Angel wondered why it was still standing, did a bunch of muggle Environmentalists protest about it getting cut down or something?

Gabriella grinned at Angel, thinking similar thoughts although she didn't know it. She wondered how the muggles had let the tree stay standing. Most muggles seemed to think that trees over 100 years were unsafe, or so she was told.

Angel shifted her position, it wasn't very comfortable sitting in the branch, but her mind was elsewhere. "I wish they would hurry up getting those O.W.L. results back," Angel began. "I think my Arithmancy exam was a train wreck..."

Gabriella snorted slgithly. "Yeah right," she replied, giggling slightly. "You probably got an O, just like with everything else. I just want to find out who got Head Boy and Girl. I bet Wolfgang does. He's always been such a teacher's pet." Gabriella grinned at her cousin at the last words.

[calcetines]

Angel smiled. "You say "teacher's pet" like it's a bad thing." Angel said, frowning. "And besides, Wolfgang has gotten into his fair share of trouble, just like-" She dropped off, she was just about to say "Isaac", but Angel knew how touchy Gabriella was about her ex. She better not mention it.

"Isaac," Gabriella said, finishing Angel's sentence. That was probably the last that they would discuss her ex, she didn't like talking about it, but she knew that Angel was right. "And yes, Wolfgang has gotten into some trouble, but he doesn't hurt anyone."

[calcetines]

Angel opened her mouth to say "Well neither did Isaac, but he was more annoying", but she promptly closed her mouth. She didn't want to be on this subject any more than Gabriella did. "I'll bet you're Head Girl." said Angel, grinning.

Gabriella blushed slightly. "Yeah right," she replied. "It'll probably be Jasmine. She's more of a good little girl...well, most of the time at least." Gabriella grinned slightly, turning to face her cousin again. "I bet you'll be next year though!"

[calcetines]

The corner's of Angel's mouth twitched, then pulled into a wide smile. "Well... I don't know. I probably won't be if my, uh, condition leaks out." said Angel. She had no idea how Cici would react if the entire school knew about her being a werewolf. "But still, I have a feeling you will be." Angel insisted.

Gabriella smiled. "Thanks Angel," she replied. "I doubt I would be if people knew about me too, though." She looked up at the sky for a moment, thinking hard about what she would do if the whole school knew she was a vampire. Things would be a lot more difficult.

[calcetines]

"Well, it would be a lot easier to get alone time." Angel said teasingly. She gave Gabriella another wide grin, although she knew it would not be funny if the whole school knew about her being a werewolf, or Gabriella being a vampire. Many things were just too difficult...

Gabriella chuckled nearly silently. "Yes, I suppose it would be," she replied in the same teasing tone. "But that wouldn't be a very good thing, in the grand scheme of things." Absentmindedly, Gabriella ran her hand through her long brown hair.

[calcetines]

Angel nodded. "I was only joking, you know." she said. Hopefully, her secret would remain, indeed a secret. She didn't know what she would do to herself if someone untrustworthy found out. Angel mentally shuddered at the thought. It was not a pleasant idea. She absently played with her newly red locks.

"Yeah I know," Gabriella replied with an involuntary shudder at the thought of people finding out her secret. She would never be able to get a job, and her life would be nearly over. She shuddered again at the thought.
