Isaac paced back and forth in the group commons, thinking far too hard. The Slytherin common room was too noisy for him to concentrate, and he needed some quiet Not many people went to the group commons anymore, unless it was during a break period or something. He kneaded his forehead with his knuckles, he needed to get all this angst off his chest... He needed to talk to someone that would understand, like a parent. He snorted quietly to himself, like his parents would understand. Isaac would probably get kicked out to the curb soon, completely cut off from any money whatsoever. He needed a job. Isaac sighed,then threw himself into a chair, staring glumly at the fire.

Angel slid into the group commons, relieved that it was quiet. She wanted to do hr homework, but some goof balls from Gryffindor decided to go to the library. Angel found them annoying. "Oh, hello, Isaac." Angel said, sitting in the chair beside him and spreading out her homework on the table. "What's wrong?" she inquired, noting the expression on his face.

Leave it to Angel to notice the look of guilt and pain in his eyes. She had a knack for that kind of thing, like a very good mother. Like the mother he had never had. "Everything and nothing, you know the drill." Isaac responded, knowing that his friend would practically force him to elaborate.

Angel raised her eyebrows as she shook her head to put her butt-length hair behind her shoulders, she had not put it up today. "Care to be a bit more specific?" Angel said, sensing Isaac's reluctance to share with her. "You know I can keep a secret."
