Ryan grinned. "Me too, the chances of them picking me is zilch." He stretched out on the grass. "Why else would I have taken that brain dead dare?"

Jasmine laughed. She smiled and stood on her tiptoes, kissing Ryan on the nose. Than, reeling back and looking smug, shoved him into the water. She giggled and splashed him a bit, trying to get him a little riled up.

As Ryan fell into the water he grabbed Jasmine's arms and pulled her in with him. He splashed her back and dove beneath the surface. He crouched on the bottom, waiting for Jasmine to swim after him.

Jasmine didn't do anything at first, just wiped her red hair from her eyes. Then, she dove under, grabbed Ryan's arm, and tugged him to the surface. Her school uniform was wet, but she could dry it later with ease, with just a simple flick of the wand.

Ryan laughed and used his water elemental to splash Jasmine. He swam further out, taunting her to try to splash him. He flipped his shaggy sandy blonde hair from his face dramatically and splashed her again with telekinesis.

Jasmine giggled, then rolled over, laying in the sun. She was having the time of her life, and this moment reminded her of when they had first been a couple, and she smiled, forgetting about her father rather quickly.

Ryan rolled over next to her, allowing the sun to dry his uniform. He thought of this same moment from when they first had become a couple. The idea of moving right now was out of the question. He could lay there, his hand in Jasmine's in the sun forever.

Jasmine held tightly to his hand, cuddling in his arms. She cuold lie here forever, not a care in the world. Sadly she knew there was a reality check she needed to get straight. Her father was dead.

Ryan could feel Jasmine's shoulder's sag. Something that happened to him when he thought of unpleasent thoughts. "What's wrong?" He asked, sitting up.

Jasmine sighed. She wanted this to hurt as little as possible, so she stared at her feet. "My father was pronounced dead nearly two days ago. The funeral is this Saturday." she whispered, her heart skipping a beat. She felt like she was more scared than sad at this point.
