Drip, drip, drip, small drops of red fell onto the carpet from Indago's forearm. It was around two in the morning. Her now black hair was covering heer left eye, as again and again she sliced her arm. She hurriedly pulled down her sleeve and put the bracelets over it as always, when she heard the familiar thump of foot steps on the stairs.

Minnie hung her head, while glumly shuffling over to the fire. She didn't look up at Indago, she didn't even notice she was there, and sat down in her usual armchair.

Indago looked at her cousin as she sat down, the grasped her covered arm. A small amount of blood was beginning to seep through. She didn't want to draw attention to the fact that she was cutting herself. Nobody would know, no even Minnie.

Minnie sighed, looking up at the sign of movement. She gave a slight smile to Indago, but as she started to look down again, she couldn't help noticing a red stain on the carpet. Words weren't needed to explain why they were there. As her jaw slowly dropped open, Minnie figured it out on her own. Before she knew it, her eyes were glassy and filled with tears again, even though she promised herself she wouldn't cry. Minnie bit her lip, leapt up from her seat, and sprinted up the steps to the dormitory three at a time, not giving a glance at Indago.

Indago merely nodded in response. She never smiled anymore. There was nothing worth smiling for in the first place. Indago was always either frowning or had a straight face. Her green eyes no longer twinkled, they had become sad and cold. Nothing mattered, nobody cared.

Minnie collapsed on her bed face first, tears rolling down her cheeks and onto her pillow. Didn't Indago understand? You just couldn't give up on life. You still had one, even if it didn't feel like it, but there was still a life to live, places to go, things to do.... The slightest bit of hope still remained in the world, even if Indago couldn't see it.... You had to at least think positive, not just throw your life away.... If the slightest bit of faith had been carried through and still resided in everyone, maybe things wouldn't be this way....

Indago sat back down and stared moodily into the fire. There was nothing worth living for anymore. Even her cousin, who was always there for her, just didn't make up for the whole in her heart.

Minnie wished she could stay in the warmth of her bed forever. She could just stay there, not worrying about anything else. She would be oblivious to everything around her. Nothing that happened would register into her mind, it would just happen. And she wouldn't have to witness it.

Indago put her face in her hands, covering her streaming eyes. She hated her life, she hated these deaths, she hated everything. There was nothing left to love in the world, nothing worth dying for, nothing worth living for. It was if she'd been condemmed to eternity of greifed exsistance, just being there, and being depressed.

Minnie raised her right leg up and kicked the matress. Taking her fury out on a bed may be stupid, but it made her feel better. After thrashing her arms for a little bit and pounding her pillow, she sighed and her head fell back onto it. Tears again streamed down her face as she blinked.

Indago twirled her wand slowly between her fingers. Tears streaming down her cheeks are as stared moodily into the fire. Quite suddenly Indago lost the hold of her wand, it slipped, then sent miniscule flames directly onto her hand. "Damn it!" Indago spat, rubbing the spot where the flames had hit.

Minnie hung her arms off the sides of her bed. Didn't Indago care? Did nothing matter to her? Eventually she might kill herself. And if that happened, Minnie didn't know what she would do.

Indago began intensively cursing under her breath, it sounded more like grumbling if you were standing right there. Minnie was wrong. She could pick out her thoughts from the dormitory. Indago wasn't going to kill herself, she wasn't that depressed, it was just-

Minnie, again, wished that everything was a dream. That everything could just disappear, and she wouldn't have to bother with any of it again. Or, someone could just walk in and decide to kill her. She wouldn't mind - everything could go away then.

Indago looked down at her burned hand. Where the flame had made contact the skin was red and peeling. It hurt to touch. Indago sat back as far as she could in the chair, slouching.
