Little Drops... [open. but be warned]

Indago's expression went blank, she felt a blissful kind of meaninglessness in her head, killing June didn't matter...

That knife you got, take it out. said a voice
Indago obeyed, pulling the large knife from her boot and holding the handle tightly.
Now, you depressed emo, thrust it through your throat, end your misery. the voice told her.
No, stupid thing to do, really. said another voice.
Just do it.
No, I really don't want to!
Do it!
No!
NOW!

What Indago felt next was more than any pain she'd ever felt. She had both tried and tried to prevent herself from thrusting the knife through her throat. She'd been able to put her arm in the path of the knife just in time, but the blade was thrust entirely through her left arm. The curse had been lifted. Indago felt dizzy, she had lost a considerable amount of blood. She wrenched the knife from the wound and with an odd sort of popping noise it healed. Indago inhaled deeply, unaware the floor was coated in her own blood.

Aly walked in just as Indago pulled the knife out of herself. She gasped and ran over. "What happened?" she said, noticing the amount of blood on the floor. She stared at the knife in Indago's hand and made a guess. "Imperius curse?" she asked.

"Yeah." Indago replied shakily, her knees were trembling slightly. Given her power, she wasn't hurt, but she was deeply disturbed at what had happened. She wasn't able to throw it off, that meant followers were near by...

"Are you okay?" asked Aly. She took a step forward. It seemed the followers were back again. At least Indago wasn't hurt.

"Maybe for now, but I don't know how much longer. Normally I would've been able to entirely throw the curse off, but I couldn't. That means they have to be close." Indago said, sitting down, but knees still trembling. She couldn't be killed, with her secret and all, that would make things ten times worse.

"How close is close?" asked Aly. She turned and examined the room. No one appeared to be there. She took a step towards the window and peeked through the curtains.

"Within the walls of Hogwarts, maybe even closer." Indago responded, scanning the room with her magical eyes, trying to find the source of the curse.

[girlingreen]

"I see," replied Aly. She stepped away from the window and looked at the door to the boys dorm. It was cracked open slightly. "There!" she said, pointing at the door and pulling out her wand.

Indago pointed her wand, she could see him now. A sudden force came down on her head. Indago fell to the floor like a bag of bricks.

Aly gasped in surprise. She pointed her wand. "Stupefy!" she yelled. The stunned follower fell to the floor. Aly pointed her wand and invisible ropes bound him. "Indago, are you okay?" she asked.

Indago was out cold. Her breathing shallow and irregular, heart rate slower than normal. But she was alive.

"Crap," cursed Aly to herself. She had never been all to good at healing. She felt Indago's pulse. It seemed slow, but steady. She left her for a moment as she went to get the follower. With a quick spell, she lifted him and sent him flying out the window. He wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. With luck, he might have even died from the fall. Aly cringed at the thought. Death was never pretty. She ran back to Indago's side again.

Indago stired slightly, her eyes fluttered open. She was on the floor, a fuzzy out line of a face loomed over her. Indago smacked her forehead with her palm, not again...

"Indago?" asked Aly. She waved a hand in front of Indago's face. "You alive in there?" Aly had seen her eyes flutter open, but was unsure if she could even see out of them.

"I'm alive, despite seven suicide attempts in the past two years and countless attempted murders." Indago grumbled, sitting up.
