The Final Battle {Indago}

Lily fell back not knowing what to do. The blood was seeping thjrough the towel, Aly was unconcious and she was alone. She felt tears stream down her face.

There was a little light... No, she must stay away from it, she must not go any farther...
Come to the light child, away from the coldness. said a voice, soft and caring.
Indago fought to stay away from it, she didn't want to go...
Just a bit further, child. the voice urged.
Crap, the light was close, then the dark tunnel was gone. Crap, no, she couldn't be dead, not now... The familiar old man stood there, smiling. There was another familiar face... Evan! She ran to him, they embraced.
"Back again?" asked the old man.
"I suppose I am." Indago said, hugging Evan more tightly.
"The gates are open, if you so chose to enter." the old man said.
Indago felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, she couldn't leave her family...
"I hope you'll understand." Indago whispered to Evan, gently pulling away.
Evan nodded, kissed her cheek and let go.
"Not today." Indago said with a soft shake of her head.
"You've evaded too many times, child. You either go through these gates now, or go the other way." said the old man, frowning slightly.
"Do me a favor." Indago said to the old man.
"What would that be?" he asked.
"Shut up!" Indago snapped, then ran back, quickly finding the tunnel.
She was running as she'd never run before, footsteps echoing... Then quite suddenly, she awoke, in great pain on her living room floor. She sat up, then hugged Lily. "It's okay, I'm not going to leave, not just yet." Indago whispered, still feeling blood trickle down from her wounds.

Lily hugged her tightly. "Don;t die any time soon" She finnaly managed to smile through her tears. She wiped the remainder of them away.

This only made Indago start crying as well. She gently squeezed Lily's shoulders with her hands. "I'm not going anywhere, at least not anytime soon." Indago said soothingly. "Dear, we're all a mess, perhaps we should get some help." she said softly, using her thumb to dry the tears from Lily's cheeks.

Lily looked at the destroyed house and at the dead body of June. She rubbed her eyes to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She steadied her bretah and managed to stand up, unsure of what to do.

Indago struggled to stand, her leg was really messed up. Gingerly, she put weight on it to see if it could support her. Her leg gave way, causing Indago to topple top the floor. "Well, that worked well." Indago grumbled, massaging the side of her head (she'd hit it against the corner of the coffee table when she fell).

Lily supported Indago. "We need to get you to saint mongo's" Lily said firmly, not willing to take no for an answer

Indago opened her mouth to protest, but seeing her sister's determination, thought the better of it. "How are we going to get Aly there as well?" asked Indago.

Lily pulled out her wand with her free hand well the other helped Indago. "Wingardium Leviosa" She began to float Aly behind them as she contiued out the door

Aly didn't even notice as she was lurched upward. Her body hung in the air, limp and lifeless. Her breathing was ragged, but she was...alive! But for how much longer? She was totally unconscious and unaware. Her neck was bleeding where the curse had hit her. She saw hazy visions of her mother.

Indago gripped the walls for support as the trio of them trudged on. She paused for a moment, and gestured for Lily to do the same. With trembling hands she tore off a portion of her shirt, revealing her emaciated stomach, and used it to pack Aly's wound. It slowed the bleeding, somewhat.
