Late At Night [open, be warned]

Indago sat on the couch in front of the fire, it was dying, the embers glowing softly. Indago slid a razor from her pocket and rolled up her sleeve. She cut the skin deeply, some blood oozed to the carpet. There was a popping noise, the wound healed itself, although the blood on her forearm remained, along with a new scar. Indago let out a groan of frustration and threw the razor into the dying fire and cleaned up her mess. The spot on the carpet was still a little pink-tinted, but it was good enough. Indago crossed the room and pressed her forehead against the cool panes of glass. Why? God, all she wanted to do was die, wasn't that possible? No, she was condemned to life on earth. And once she finally did succeed in killing herself, she'd probably be a ghost. Indago ignored the footsteps approaching as she unlatched the window and opened it.

Liy stood in the shadows her back to Indago. She was feeding her babys. She sighed and knew what Indago was doing, did Indago even care about her?

Indago looked over her shoulder, seeing Lily. She sighed and closed the window, not tonight, she didn't want to hurt Lily anymore than she already was. Thoughts firmly cemented, Indago crossed the room and sat by Lily. "I care, I know it doesn't seem like it." Indago said very softly.

Lily looked away. She felt those eyes watchin her again. Not Indago's but someone elses. "Why do you cut yourself? Is it bad?" She asked. She had been doing it to, not knowing what it mmeant but after the first time it hurt like heck and she did it so much her arms were almost useless and the scars would probably never leave. She was condemned to wearing long sleeves with bracelets. She didnt bother to block her thoughts.

Oh, fuck, that's what I get for being the "example". Indago thought bitterly, mind still firmly blocked. "Lily, you shouldn't be doing that to yourself, I know I shouldn't either, don't nag me. It's a bad thing, I'm not in a good state of mind, I'm battling really bad depression. You aren't, don't do that to yourself. I don't want you to end up like me." Indago explained calmly.

"Nuh-uh" She protested. "You were perfectly cheery and had bright red hair and everything was fine and then I come along and this happened to you" She said. "And I thought only married people had babys" She added in distaste. Not that she didnt like Christina, but...the thought was just wrong

"Please, I'm a horrible example, you shouldn't follow me. My life's screwed but you still have a chance! Just stop doing what you're doing before it spirals into something you can't control!" Indago pleaded.

"I can control it!" She claimed. She saw Indago wasnt going to budge. "Andrew would understand" She muttered but immeadietly regretted it. Indago didnt know who he was and Lily like it that way. She cemented her thoughts and nervousley stood up.

"Believe me, you can't! I have zero control over my life except the choice if I'm going to eat breakfast or not! My mind has lost all control over this situation, it's spiraled into something that most likely will kill me! I don't want you on the same path I am! Save yourself! Just please, you've no idea..." Indago pressed on, a note of anger starting to come into her voice. Didn't Lily understand that it was that simple little thing that started the whole mess that inevitably came afterwords?

Lily sighed in relief that she had dropped the Andrew part. She flopped onto a chair and stared at the fire. She wasnt a little kid, she could handle thiings, she knew how to take care of herself, she had been doing it for 9 years, byherself all the time. She closed her eyes and concntrated really hard. Eveyrthing was getting confusing. She wouldnt argue with Indago but wouldnt tolerate her bossing her around eitehr

"I'm not bossing you around, I'm just trying to stop you from messing up your life." Indago said, voice calming down slightly, although anger was still evident.

Lily folded her arms. She tossed ehr vivid red hair behind er shoulder. A voice appeared in her head.
What kind of a sister bosses you around? A sister should know her boundrys Hissed the voice. Lily seemed to fall into a trance.
She was cheery and happy before you came along, everything she says is a lie and you know ir It continued.

"Lily?" Indago said feebly, her sister's silence was unnerving her. "Lily?" Indago repeated, louder still. What was going on?

leave her, We would appreciate you, you would be important, the key to our sucess, all you need is to say yes persuaded the voice. Lily was about to say yes when her senses hit her amd she leapt from her chair.

"Are you alright?" Indago asked nervously, trying to control that sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't keep it under control easily, just like the rest of her life.
