Minnie climbed on, biting her lip.

Jasmine flew through anearby window. Seh soared past the hogwarts grounds and over a busy british street. She stayed higher up so people wouldnt see. Jasmine flew down on the outside of a town. Seh transformed. "This is a muggle town, take off your robes" instructed Jasmine. "Stay on your gaurd" she said as she took off her robes revealing her ripped jeans and small t-shirt.

Minnie tucked her robes under her arm. But she was still wearing the school uniform. She removed her ties and hid it in her robes. At least she looked somewhat normal.

Jasmine conjured up a ragged jean jacket and handed it to Minnie. "If you look middle class you'll get mugged. It is a bad neighbor hood" she explained. She conjured up a back pack and put their robes in it and she hid her wand in her pocket. As they began walking two tall boys came up sneering.
"Looks like street rat is back" sneere the first one.
"And she has a friend" laughed the other. Jasmines eyes glinted.
"If you wanna keep your teeth get the heck outta my sight unless you remember last time" she said as she stepped infront of minnie. The second one ahowed a hint of fear.
"He aint afaid" sneered the first one as he reached towards minnie. Jasmine punched him in the face. He fell back whimpering.
"Get out outta here mad dog or I will make sure you relive last time" she threatened as she held up her fists. The second one helped his friend up and they scampered away.

"You know them?" Minnie asked, staring after the boys.

"Unfortanatley I know alot of people here and they are not friendly." she said. "Guess where I learned how to fight" she said sarcastically. "I use magic as a last resort here" she said. "Follow me and if any one touches you police men here dont care if you beat them up in self defense" she said as she began walking into the town. She shivered, she couldnt put on Indago's sweater because it was to fancy and would draw attenetion. Jasmine heard snow crunching behind them as she whipped around. A teeneager her age and slightly taller was sneering.
"Never thought I would see you again during the school year" he said. "Looks like you made a friend" he laughed, his eye twitching. He was high on illeagel drugs.
"Back off or I will make you back off Ice" she said flatly.
"I aint afraid" he said swayng. Jasmine gently pushed him and he tumbled over. She kicked him in the head as she continued walking.
"They all have retarted names" she shruged. "When new people are here like you, they know you will have somethin' worth stealin' and do anything to get it. He stole those drugs he was high on" she explained as they made their way though a scarceley populated street.

"Uh-huh," Minnie replied, following Jasmine and brushing her hand along the wall.

They finally reached an alley. It was dark back there but she could detect movement. Good. Her kids were hiding. Seh signaled for Minnie to come along and she went into the alley. Sshe put her hand on the wall and using her fire elemental lit a torch in a bracket. 27 orphans came charging around her and saying everything at once.
"Where is Jamie?" she asked a 10 year old. She nodded and picked a bundle out of a trash bin. Seh handed it to Jasmine gently. Jasmine walked over to Minnie. "This is Jamie. The oldest is an 11 year old boy named John, come out here John" she said. A young boy stepped forward and held out his hand for Minnie. "You want me to go through them all?" she asked with a laugh.

Minnie grinned at Jasmine. "We have all the time in the world," she responded.

"True. Line up and tell My friend Minnie your name and if optional your age" she instructed. Instantly it went quiet and they all lined up.
"I am lucy and I am 9" said a girl.
"I am Lucas and I am 10" said a boy.
"I am Tracie and I am 10" said the girl who had brought Jasmine Jamie
"I am todd an dI am 5" said a young boy as he held up 4 fingers
"I am daina and I am 8" said a girl.
"I am andrew and I am 11" said a boy proudly. "But John is still a little bit older"
"I am andrea and I am 6" said a young girl with a teddy bear
"I am Billy and I am 7" said a boy with messy hair
"I am susie and I am 11" she said proudly as she flipped he hair
"I am Collin and I am 9" said a boy with muddy pants
"I am Casey and I am 3" said a little girl with her thumb in her mouth
"I am derek and I am 4" said a little boy
"I am emily and I am 8" said a girl
"Ok, everyone. We will finish after lunch" said Jasmine as she held up a bag of food she had been reserving. She pulled out a blanket and set it on the ground.

Minnie smiled at the kids. She had to admit, though, it was sad to think about how they had never known any life but this one. Yet they weren't bawling on the ground. This seemed like something amazingly brave to Minnie. They weren't afraid of the world, or what might come.

Jasmine read Minnie's ind and laughed. Jasmine put more blankets on the ground. She put the food out and sat down next to Minnie as the kids dug into the food. They were all extradanarily thin like Jasmine. She cradled Jamie in her arms.

"What?" Minnie asked. "What's funny about it?"

"Why woud they be bawling on the ground?" she asked as she rocked Jamie to sleep.

"Well... they're young, ya know? And all they've ever known is pain."
