New perspectives...{OPEN}

Lily moodily trudged her feet through the thorny brush, letting it tear at her skin. Sure it hurt but everything else hurt. She heard a cracking sound. She looked around but didnt see anything. She continued on but stumbled over a patch of large rocks. She sat next to it. They all seemed to be perfect ovals. She saw a trail of blood leading away from the patch. She followed it. Nothing could prepare he for what she saw. She saw a large female dragon, on the ground, bloody and dead. She felt tears sting her eyes. She ran back to the patch of rocks. She heard the cracking again SHe lookde down to see the rocks move slightly. A crack spread along one of them. THOSE WERE DRAGON EGGS!!! She sheltered her face as egg bits flew from the cracking egg. She looked out to see tiny legs from the egg. The legs were in the air. SHe giggled and flipped the egg the right way.She watched slowly as a head popped out of the top. The baby dragon was light green and gooey. She watched as it shook off the rest of the egg. She gently scooped up the baby as it sqwaked. SHe Heard footsteps approaching...

Minnie entered the forest. She had been hoping that no one else would be here, that she'd be alone and could think away from everyone else.

Lily quickly turned around and blocked the baby wyvern dragons from view. NO one could know. She pushed leaves over the trail of blood and turned to se Minnie coming up. "Hi Minnie" She said in an unussaly cheerful voice.

[minnieweasley]

"You certainly seem happy," Minnie commented, slightly disappointed that Lily was here.

[rosie13]

"Well I have my reasons" She said as she continued to hide the one hatched dragon and the other eggs.

[minnieweasley]

One of the other eggs started to split, the cracking growing to be quite loud. Minnie sidled to the side....

[rosie13]

Lily blocked heR View again. "Whatcha lookin' at?" She asked, covering up the fact that her eggas were cracking loudly.

[minnieweasley]

Minnie strode past Lily to view the source of the cracking. "Dragon eggs?" she asked in awe.

[rosie13]

"NO....YOUR HALLUSINATING!!!!" She said, trying to find an excuse. She sighed. "You cant tell any one" She explained gravely.

[minnieweasley]

"Why would I?" Minnie asked, watching the tiny dragons pop out of their shells and begin to explore the world they had entered.

[rosie13]

"I dont know..." She said. She began making sure they were alll healthy. She counte them to make sure they all hatched. "I will need to ask Proffecer Landon about this though" She said. "They dont have a mom...I found her dead over there in that area" She explained sadly s she pointed to where she found the mom.

[minnieweasley]

Minnie bit her lip. "Oh." Poor things... they were orphans. But they still went around courageously, their heads held high, their the edges of their mouth curling upward and their lower jaw hanging down, as though they were smiling. Minnie didn't understand how, but they were still joyful and curious, as though nothing terrible was happening in the world. There were a lot of people that could take a lesson from those baby dragons.

"Are you coming? I have to keep them in the girls dorm" She explained.
