Demetri had all his luggage packed in one black, leather charmed suitcase. It was a gift from Safira for Christmas, and he'd used it for everything. And, now, it helped him as he stepped into his house in Cauldron Cove, with some happy news. Sure, he'd already known about his plans, for he'd made them a while in advance. He was home for the rest of the year, leading into summer. He'd gotten special leave from Cici, and was ecstatic to be with Safira and his beloved Aurora. Demetri knocked gently on the wall, smiling. "Safira!" he called, brown eyes aglow with joy.

Safira had been in the nursery, quite contently bottle-feeding her daughter while slowly rocking in the chair she had placed beside the window. As Aurora suckled on her bottle, she gazed out the window, watching the gentle rain patter against the panes of glass. She flinched as she heard the sound of her husband, she hadn't been expecting him to be there. "Demetri!" Safira said happily, "what are you doing home?" Now after the initial shock, she was pleasantly surprised by him being there.

Demetri grinned, walking into the nursery. He went over to Safira and pecked her gently on the lips, then bent down and kissed his daughter's head. She stopped eating long enough to burble with a form of infant chuckle, then she went back to suckling gently on the bottle. Demetri knelt net to his wife and child, one hand snaked around his wife's shoulders, the other running through his hair. "Cici was kind enough to give me leave for the rest of this school year," he replied, unable to contain his wide, enthusiastic grin. "I figured that you both would need me," he finished, eyes falling upon Safira. Demetri had only been away a short while, the last time he had seen his daughter and wife was when he'd brought them both home. But, now, he could spend every waking moment caring for his family. Months ago, he had been afraid of all this, all of the uncertainty. Now, he was as happy as any parent could be, perhaps even happier, given the tragedies that had taken place in nine months.

"Well I'm glad you're here," said Safira with a smile. Truth be told, she was anxious being home by herself with Aurora all the time, but ever since her resuce Isabelle seemed uninterested in her or her family. This only served to unnerve the young mother further, the evil woman didn't just leave people alone. But as for now, Safira felt much better with Demetri there, his arm around her shoulders.
