Equinox remained mostly still while the seamstress pinned the robes around her. At long last, the woman gestured for Equinox to step off the platform and back onto the floor. "I can just apply this to the other robes, dear," the woman said with a smile. "Thank you," Equinox said, nodding. "I think I'll find a few more pairs before I'm done." The woman nodded and Equinox rejoined her sister amongst the racks. "I like those," Equinox commented to Solstice, gesturing to the robes that her sister had.

"I love the colour," Solstice replied with a short nod of her head. She was more of a fan of dark, cool colours, the violet-red robes were almost a stretch for her. But she decided they had enough purple in them to not be too warm of a hue. "Perhaps I am more critical than I thought," Solstice commented with a frown. She normally didn't take this long to find robes, but then again she had never bought more than one or two sets at a time before.

"You certainly have high expectations, sister," Equinox commented with a shrug. She didn't think Solstice was overly critical, but Equinox did consider herself to be slightly more easy-going than her sister. Solstice seemed to have a set style and set ways. Equinox respected her for that, but wasn't quite the same. That was probably why her style of clothing was far more varied in terms of color.

Solstice smiled a bit, but did not respond to her sister's comment. She might not be a terribly firm person, but she had always known specifically what she would and would not wear. At long last she found an elegant set in a silver-pewter fabric that intrigued her. Being a neutral it was in her typical wardrobe, but they seemed very classy, sophisticated even. "What do you think of these?" Solstice asked her sister, holding them out for Equinox to look at.

Equinox examined the robes for a moment. They were not really something she would typically wear, but she found that she liked them very much. "I wish I had seen them first," Equinox said with a wry smile. They suited Solstice well, Equinox could tell that at least. If they weren't already completely identical, Equinox might have picked out the same pair for herself, but she and Solstice had stopped buying even similar outfits years ago.

"Well you got the green ones first," Solstice replied with a small smile, and then tucked the robes over the others draped on her arm. She supposed that she would be able to borrow them if she needed to, but Solstice did like having her own identity separate from Equinox- no matter how close they were. Somehow sharing clothes with her sister seemed like blurring the boundaries between their separate persons, she would rather that boundary be distinct.

"A fair point," Equinox replied with a slight chuckle. She supposed it didn't matter too much anyway, as she would only really be wearing the robes to work. While Equinox liked robes well enough, she found that she preferred to wear jeans, especially at home. "How many sets do you suppose I should get?" Equinox asked after a moment of browsing once more.

Solstice was quiet a moment as she attempted to recall the schedule of her sister's photography job with the Prophet, although she found that her memory failed her. But she did suppose that being a photographer was going to be a lot less consistent than her own job within the Ministry. "One set for every day you work each week should suffice," Solstice said, continuing to flip through the racks for something to suit her specific tastes.

Equinox made a slight face; while this made sense, she didn't exactly have a consistent schedule. She was expected to show up on weekdays and any other time the Prophet needed her to photograph something. "Perhaps I ought to get six or seven sets, then," Equinox said, flipping through another rack before coming out with a set of deep magenta robes in a looser style.

Solstice nodded toward her sister as she returned to the racks, she wondered why she detested shopping so much, it seemed to be something that other girls around her age enjoyed. She supposed that she had never really had much fun while doing it, unless she was at some far off market filled with exotic goods, immersed in the sounds of foreign tongues... Solstice smiled at her memories, she loved to travel, and it had been quite some time since her last adventure. At long last she found two more sets of the same style as the pewter ones- only one was in black, and the other brown.

After a while of silent shopping, Equinox had at last come up with seven sets of robes. The ones she had found at first were definitely her favorites over the last ones she had gotten: pale green, grey, and black. Nevertheless, Equinox knew she would probably end up wearing all of the robes in order to feel properly dressed for work. Equinox scanned the store for her sister. Once locating Solstice, she went up to the counter and handed the robes to the seamstress before heading over to her sister.

Solstice smiled at Equinox when her sister joined her at the racks. She had gotten her goal of five sets, although she still had a few more racks to browse through before calling it a day. Perhaps she might find a set or two more than what she had already found, to make a bit of a more complete wardrobe. After a little more browsing, Solstice came across a set in a very pale yellow. They didn't seem like something she would wear, but they were pretty.

Equinox examined the robes that Solstice had just found. While she had never worn yellow robes before, Equinox found herself liking the ones that Solstice had rather a lot. "I like those," Equinox commented. "They're very pretty." Equinox wondered what had made her sister drawn to this set of robes; warm colors certainly weren't what Solstice usually wore.

Solstice nodded, and then stood before the mirror, holding up the lemonade-coloured robes in front of herself, visualizing what they would look like on her. They seemed to compliment her brown tresses, and made her never quite one colour eyes look more greenish than usual. Solstice decided that she liked them, even if she would have never imagined picking up yellow robes before. "I think I've got enough," Solstice commented, draping the yellow set over her arm, and then going to the seamstress to pay for her items.

"Alright," Equinox commented. She still felt like her wardrobe wasn't quite complete, but she knew she could always come back in a little while and look for a few more sets of robes. Equinox followed closely behind her sister back to the counter, where the seamstress handed her the tailored robes. "Thank you," Equinox said, sliding over the appropriate amount for her things.
