As it was not raining that morning, Blaize had decided to wander about the grounds with a couple slices of toast in his hand instead of sitting in the Great Hall for breakfast. Because of his very light schedule Blaize didn't have a class until two in the afternoon that day, and was contemplating what he was going to do. That was until an owl swooped down and deposited a heavy parcel into his arms. Blaize stumbled a bit from the weight, but once he had regained his balance promptly tore open the box.
Inside was a letter and a hard-bound copy of his book, which made him feel the happiest he had felt since Emily had commited suicide. Blaize seeted himself against a tree near the lake and read the letter, his grin growing bigger by the second. He was so wrapped up in the most potent happiness he had felt in months that he failed to hear the sound of footsteps in the sand approaching him...
