Solstice had decided to take advantage of the warm Sunday afternoon to head to Fortiscue's and get herself a portion of her favourite strawberry sorbet. She had a strong adversion to junk food, so she went for the lesser calorie, lower fat sorbet over the more unhealthy options. After paying for her treat Solstice slipped outside to sit at one of the table under a brightly-coloured umbrella. She smiled to herself, she had situated herself in the perfect place to watch the world go by.
Solstice felt a little out of place in her muggle clothes consisting of shorts and a pale blue tank top, but no one was paying her any mind, and that was the way she liked it. At least she thought that she would be alone until someone's shadow cast upon her table, telling her otherwise.

Alec was in the process of buying himself a bit of ice cream when he spotted a very pretty girl sitting outside of Fortiscue's. Smiling a bit to himself, he paid the cashier and then headed out. Not waiting for an invitation, Alec sat at her table. "Hello," he said pleasantly, making sure to smile.

Solstice eyed the boy that had sat down at her table warily, it had been quite the breech of etiquette, just sitting down without her asking him to. She wouldn't have minded if it were Equinox, but that was different, they were sisters, and she didn't even know this person. Solstice already didn't like him. "Hello," Solstice responded, keeping her tone and expression neutral. She looked away, as if uninterested in the boy.
