Erik smiled softly, taking Nat's hand to keep her from being swept into the crowd. "Diagon Alley," he replied. "It's got an assortment of shops that help out young wizards. They sell school books, wands, and there's even a menagerie that sells all sorts of animals for the average witch or wizard," he replied gently, pointing out some of the shops as the pair walked. He looked down at Nat, slightly concerned. "You've really never been here? Where'd you get all your school books?" he asked curiously, eying the little girl slightly. "Giovanni?" he asked, eyebrows raising slightly.

Nat still couldn't believe her eyes. She had never imagined such a place could exist. It was too amazing to be true. She glanced at Erik, barely hearing him over the crowd. "Giovanni reading?" She scoffed at the idea. Her imbocel of a brother was as much an embarresment to her as she was to him. "My grandmother was a witch. She had left all her possessions to me when she was hung," Nat knew she ought to have cared more about her grandmother. Truth was, Nat couldn't remember the woman. She had worn her sapphire ring since the day she had died in honor of her. Although Nat had no memories, she realized now how proud she was of her grandmother, stating proudly On the gallows that she was a witch. Nat understood that pride now.
"Books?" her eyes glittered. "As in Herbology?!" She clasped his arm tightly, awe struck. Now that was magic.

Erik nodded, smiling softly. "Yes, books as in Herbology," he laughed. "Would you like to go take a look? I've got no where to be," he replied, smile broadening. Erik realized how much he enjoyed taking Nat around Diagon Alley. Though he had never really considered children, or marriage for that matter, it was nice, having youngsters looking up to him for advice and guidance. It gave him a sense of pride and accomplishment. Erik pulled Nat along beside him, weaving in and out of the crowds as he awaited her response, though he was pretty sure she'd asked to go look at all the books.

"Of course!" That was perhaps the loudest Nat had ever allowed her voice to go. The world around her was so vivid, yet blurring by as she couldn't stand the wait to the books. "How big is there selection?" She asked, before they entered yet another building with interesting architecture. She felt as if her mouth could have dragged along the floor as she entered what was her pictured idea of a Heaven.
