Ariadne was a bit taken aback by the boy's sudden farewell. Her eyes narrowed slightly, then widened. "Oh, goodness, I'm sorry, that was rude," she replied, only half-apologetic. That had obviously been a huge blow to his ego. On the outside, she was apologetic, but on the inside she was smiling. Maybe then he'd move on. Still... he was kind enough, and she hoped they could be friends, much to her surprise. Ariadne smiled awkwardly at him, wondering if he'd walk away or stay for a small chat beforehand.

"It's fine," Blake nodded curtly, before turning to leave. That had hurt. More than he thought it could. Of course, in most situations, he would have brushed it off and found another girl. But this was different. He had removed his charming shield, and he had fallen. He ran a hand through his hair, sighing heavily as he climbed the stairs, trying to keep a normal pace, although he would have loved to run. Run and forget that side of him even existed.
