Nix smiled as the witch nodded her head to her before slipping in to the passage and then she heard gage follow her before the familiar click of the portrait snapping shut behind them. She heard gage speak and tried not smile at the idea of him running down here during the night to fine her laying in her wolf form at he end of the tunnel but she didn't say anything ,"it leads out to the entrance hall, but the portrait at this end is a grumpy old guy who can get annoyed if you wake him up by coming back at night" she said with a smile as the fire on the walls flickered a little and nix smiled to her, resisting the urge to chuckle

"All right, so daytime use, only, then," said Gage, nodding a bit. He would probably forget entirely about where the passage was and what the password was in a few days. His memory for specific phrases and locations was notoriously poor. Gage's mother had often told him he could get lost in a paper sack without even trying. He felt it was somewhat true, until he had walked a paticular route several times (and by several meaning over a hundred) it was unfamiliar to him. Gage followed closely behind Nix, fairly excited to be going out into the forest when it was near dark. Sure, he risked detention again, but Gage had become quite gifted with Disillusionment Charms, as long as they were quiet he might be able to hide them on the way back.

Nix saw the fire light dance as they walked and spotted the back of the dull door and smiled to herself before walking up to it slowly and tapping the back of it and it swung forwards. Nix hopped out of the passage and then walked around to see the wizard on the other side ,his name had been Farn Green in his lifetime and he had been a most brilliant professor in a different magical school that he would tell no student the name of. Nix chuckled to herself before nodding to him and he roles his eyes as she walked past him to wait for gage to step out of the passage way behind her

Gage stepped out of the portrait behind Nix, looking back in a somewhat amused manner at the subject of the painting. He looked rather annoyed, though still had an expression that suggested he thought himself above being the entrance and exit of a secret passage. Gage offered a smile to the man, but he only exhaled loudly and swung closed, concealing the passage from view. "Not exactly a friendly fellow, eh?" said Gage as he started walking away. He didn't care if the picture heard him, what was a portrait going to do anyways? It's not like they could jump out of their frames...

Nix laughed at gages comment and nodded ,"he was a very smart and powerful wizard, he'll tell that to everyone but what he won't say to most is that he is also muggleborn and hates it about himself. Rather stupid really if you ask me but then again, boys will be boys" she said with a chuckle at her last comment as she slipped out of the front door way and looked around before spotting the wonderful black outline of the trees she would so soon be running in. Still not an word had slipped from her mouth about what she'd do here and gage still didn't know what she would soon be but that would just make it all the more fun, surely...

Gage shook his head, he didn't understand it when muggleborns were ashamed of their blood status. He himself had muggles for parents and was quite proud of the fact that he, out of several generations of his family, had been the one to recieve magic out of all the others. It made his generally mundane homelife more interesting. "Ah, I never got the point of the blood purity thing, we're all witches and wizards, it shouldn't matter," said Gage as he followed Nix outside, inhaling the fresh air, "but then again I'm muggleborn, so it could just be me."

Nix listened to gage and lowered her head ,she didn't like talking about her blood. Her family were the top snotty purebloods and so she had done her best in life to never see them, her aunt had been born a squib so she had been all but thrown out of the family. Nix loved how most assumed she was a muggle-born girl or a half blood, so few ever worked out who she was really related to and she loved that about life. "yea, as far as I'm concerned if you have magic, you are important. The humans need protection and guidance because they don't know how bad they can really be" she said without looking up from the grass below her as she felt the blood rush up to her face.

"Right," said Gage, although he wasn't sure that he understood what Nix meant by that. Was she saying that muggles needed protection, or was she implying their fellow wizards and witches? Gage decided that it didn't really matter all that much. The forest was getting close, and he was feeling himself getting antsier. Perhaps he might summon his broom, it ought to be a real agility challenge, trying to fly through the thick of the trees. Gage figured that he ought to take it easy on the flying, but it bothered him when he couldn't spend time up in the air. He was supposed to belong there.

They soon came to the edge of the trees and she couldn't help but giggle to herself before an idea hit her and she turned round to look at her companion ,"would you like to have some fun? Do something no-one else has done before?" she asked with a dark smile before stepping back into the shadows of the trees a little bit more. She knew what she was saying could be taken so many different ways but that was sort of what made her idea so much fun, she tried not to laugh again and give it away so she instead dipped her hand inside her robes again and dropped her wand back in to it's pocket again, she wouldn't need it now anyways

"It depends on what that "fun" would entail," said Gage, again confused about what Nix was trying to say. He had a hard enough time figuring out things that were straightforward, he didn't need the added difficulty of things that were purposefully vague. Her sentence could be taken in several different ways, of course some of them not exactly clean, though Gage couldn't much help where his mind wandered. Well, he technically could, but he seldom did anything to prevent his mind from stumbling into that territory. But Gage didn't think of Nix that way, she was his friend, nothing more.

Nix chuckled to herself as gage replied to her and she smiled slowly ,"ever been riding?" she asked with a chuckle before tilting her head to one side. "well, riding something aside a broom as brooms are easier to work with" she corrected herself before reached back and pulling off her robes and jumper in one move. She could feel the warm tingle running up and down and hands already and tried to not smile at it again ,"but you'd need to keep it a secret" she said with another small chuckle

"What? You mean like a horse or something?" said Gage, still feeling slightly confused. What was with all the secrecy anyways? He didn't care much for things like puzzles, and that certainly seemed like what Nix was setting him up with. Perhaps she was talking about the thestrals, though it would be kind of difficult for him to ride a thestral since he wouldn't be able to see them. Not that he was complaining about that, Gage didn't have a desire to see someone die, and from what he had heard thestrals looked pretty frightening. "I can keep a secret," Gage replied, if there was one thing he hated it would be dishonesty.

Nix smiled at the boys words and nodded ,"a horse would be a good start" she said with a small chuckle before she bent down and started to untie her shoes before slipping her feet out of them. "and if you are sure you won't tell, then I can tell you a very important but fun kind of secret" she said with another chuckle as she slid her socks off and stood up again and looked at the other gryffindor. Her face turned serious for a moment as she looked him over ,"I haven't told anyone aside the teacher this yet" she said in a smaller voice than before as she looked around for a tree to duck behind so that it wouldn't be deadly awkward when she had to change

Gage raised an eyebrow as Nix stepped out of her shoes, what one earth was she thinking of doing? She was beginning to confuse him now more than ever. And what was she talking about with riding? Gage found he was thinking now more than he ever did in five years worth of history class (the subject he had detested the most, in spite of the teacher being his head of house). "I never back out on my word," said Gage, "and you've got it." He wanted Nix to think of him as someone that she could trust in, not many people did due to his reputation for detention, unauthorized parties, and other hyjinxs that landed him in trouble.

Nix smiled to herself as gage spoke before she spotted the ideal tree, "don't come round until I come out, and ignore all screaming" she said with a chuckle as she quickly stepped over to the tree and then took in a deep breath. she pulled her t-shirt off and then took her wand from the back of her combats before dropping them and closing her eyes, when she knew she was going out she would never wear extra things below her clothes because that made it a pain to go back. She soon felt the burning running over her skin and then her bones in her legs snapped and she couldn't help but give a strangled yelp of pain. She dropped forwards and then held herself up with her hands before those bones snapped to and she yelped in pain again as tears formed in her eyes
