"Um, all right," Gage said tentatively, starting to feel like this might not be such a good idea. But he had given his word, he would see what Nix was talking about. But why would there be screaming? He was known to cause trouble, but he didn't usually get involved with things that hurt people, Gage considered himself above that. Throwing unauthorized parties, sneaking out after curfew, cheating on assignments, they weren't exactly the best things he could be doing but at least they never physically hurt anyone. "Nix?" Gage called, slightly alarmed at the sounds of pain although she had warned him to ignore them.

Nix heard gage say her name and would have smiled had her skin not been splitting apart to allow her tail and ears to grow. She snapped her eyes shut and did her best to keep from screaming out again as the fire burning over skin increased and she felt the fur begin to grow. She took in short breaths over and over to try and limit the pain and in moments it was gone and she was standing up in all four. Her tail flicked from side to side and her ears twitched before she bent down and took her wand up gently in her jaws along with her clothes and stepped around the side of the tree and dropped the clothes on the small pile she has built up before looking over at gage and flicking at tail in amusement

Gage had half a mind to go behind the tree and see what was going on, ignoring the warnings that Nix had given him to not do so until she had given the word. He wished that she would just tell him what was going on rather than keep everything under such a layer of mystery. When a wolf poked its head around the tree where Nix had slipped behind Gage jumped back a foot or two in surprise. "Holy shit!" Gage proclaimed, but with a closer look... Those were definitely Nix's eyes. It seemed almost impossible, but it had to be true.. "You're an animagus," said Gage in disbelief, "that's amazing, that."

Nix gave a wolfy grin at the other gryffindors comment before sniggering slightly, she loved this form and feeling. She could hear everything around her and smell so many different things, she could feel the wind blowing over her fur and she loved how wild and open her mind became. She of course thought differently as a wolf but she still could control her ideas and thoughts and wants, most of the time. She shook her head to focus herself and then nodded her muzzle to the pile of clothes and her wand on the grassy floor, if they were going to end up having a nightly wander in the forest then her things couldn't really be left out here....

Well, perhaps this could be slightly more difficult, at the very least trying to communicate. Wolves couldn't talk, and although the animal before him was still Nix, she wouldn't be able to talk to him in her wolf form. He narrowed his eyes a bit in concentration as Nix made some sort of gesture with her head, to a pile of clothes and her wand on the forest floor. "Oh, right," said Gage, wondering if at the very least she would be able to understand what he was saying, even if she couldn't answer. Gage bent over to pick up Nix's things, tucking them away into the magically extended pocket of his black cloak.

Nix smiled as gage seemed to work out her message before pausing running through her mind for the spell she had used as a child in the forests behind her old home. She remembered the feeling she had felt with the animals them and felt the tingle of childish magic that hadnt been channeled through a wand, she felt her fur tingle and she then quickly stepped forwards to touch her fur to gages side and she chuckled ,"working?" she thought hesitantly. She knew this used to work for her as a child when she spoke to the deer and the few foxes or the back of her old home, she just needed to touch them to hear their thoughts and of course they would hear and understand her words so that was always the easy bit

Gage watched Nix the wolf, wondering what on earth she was going to do next. That had already been quite unexpected, but he was fairly certain that they night was only just begining. He titled his head in an apprehensive sort of way as Nix brushed up against him, but suddenly he heard her voice in his head, making him jump once again. "Well, yeah," said Gage, still entirely surprised by the entire thing, "you're just full of surprises, aren't you?" He leaned against a tree, wondering what was going to happen.

Nix tried not to chuckle at her gryffindor friend but failed again, "that's what you get for being turned out by your family from the age if 6" she muttered to herself before she looked around to try and think of things they could do in the forest at night. The werewolves wouldn't been meeting yet so she had no need to go that way and the centaurs always found her amusing which got annoying after a bit so she tended to avoid them unless she knew Lyu was out with them but she now didn't have any ideas for things to do...unless they went to hogsmead of course

"I'm sorry,what did you say?" asked Gage,tilting his head to the side a bit. He hadn't heard what Nix had said, although he wasn't sure if Nix had meant for him to hear it. Of course, he had never understood why people said things out loud when they didn't want other people to hear them. Perhaps it was just him, Gage didn't bother saying anything unless he wanted someone to know what was on his mind. Otherwise it just seemed like wasted breath to him. He decided that he would just stand around and allow Nix to lead the way to wherever it was that she wanted to go- Gage wasn't particular about it.

Nix tilted her head to one side before nodding to herself and turning back and flicking her tail so it brush against gage's side ,"we may as well head in to hogsmead. The lake will be cold now and the centaurs will all be star gazing so the crosses off the lake and forest really, unless you want to do something or go somewhere" she side or rather thought. That was the good thing about being a wolf, she could talk to humans using her brain and talk her her own kind and the werewolves using her words like anyone normal, it was a handy form change really. She flicked her White striped tail away from her friend before looking up at the sky to try and spot the moon, just to make sure there would be any of the werewolf pack wandering around the forest or town today, that wouldn't make for a good evening

"Lead the way," said Gage, gesturing to the path with his hand, "Hogsmeade sounds like a wonderful idea. It would probably be better to be caught there than here, anyway." Of course, he had every confidence that they weren't going to be caught outside of the school at night, both he and Nix knew their way around the castle and the grounds fairly well. Gage had taken to memorizing the general routes of the rounds the professors and prefects took at night to avoid them. Of course, with his recent mastering of Disillusionment charms it was hardly necessary. All Gage need do was keep quiet and not walk into anything or anyone, thus giving away his position.

Nix smiled a wolf grin as gage agreed with her before turning her head a little to both sides and twitching her ears to listen out for sounds of anyone else, after a few moments of hearing nothing she nodding her head and then started to pad through the trees. She knew there were other ways to get to hogsmead and she knew some others liked them more but nix liked trees and woods and this way was faster too, so she was going this way, if gage wanted to come with her then that would be a fun little trip

Gage followed behind Nix as she bobbed around trees, he was still in shock that she had learned to become an animagus, especially at her age, the process was supposed to take years. He himself still struggled when it came to changing the colour of his eyebrows. Gage hopefully could figure it out soon, exams were right around the corner, and he wasn't sure he could afford to try and cheat on this one. If he were caught he might find himself in more trouble than even he could deal with. Gage ducked his head under a low branch, making sure that Nix was still in his lie of sight, he didn't want to end up lost in the forest.

Nix soon found her mind wandering to exam stresses, she had DADA and transfiguration down that much she knew but as for potions and history of magic, she was sure she would end up failing those. With potions it was all with the mixing and she never could work it, she could stick it all together right but never stir it right to make it work properly. History of magic was her worst class, she fell asleep in it and was always bored the moment she stepped in to the class room, so she was sure that was an assured fail there. She shook her head as she came out to a clearing in the forest and looking around for one of the tunnels leading off of the whomping willow, they weren't big as she has dug them herself but they could fit her and her wolfyness so gage should fit too

Gage came to a stop in the clearing, taking a quick look up at the sky. So far the night was unusually clear, a welcome change to him. H got tired of rain and clouds after a while. He supposed that meant he ought to try and live someplace else when he got older, or just travel a lot. But Gage was planning on going out for professional Quidditch after graduating, that did involve quite a bit of travel if you were on the good teams. "What are you looking for?" asked Gage, noticing Nix poking around as if she were trying to find something. It reminded him of how he would pace if he was really struggling with homework.
