Grace felt helpless, almost, though at the same time her maternal juices and excitement were building. She wanted to be there to take care of Nix and that baby that would be making its appearance any minute now. Though she kept her outward self calm and collect,there was no need to get antsy around Nix when she was supposed to be relaxing so she could do what she needed to do. Grace tensed up a bit once the nurse came back, seemingly sensing that the delivery would be soon. Grace half-wondered if many babies had been born in Hogwarts before.

She presumed not many had, unless it were a teacher or something. Grace did know that the Headmistress was pregnant, perhaps that would make this a record-breaking year, as far as births within the Hogwarts grounds went. Grace simply continued to stroke Nix's hair ad the back of her hand, knowing that very shortly indeed she was going to be an auntie, and that was a very exciting feeling.

The pain got worse and worse and she felt her hands curling up despite her brain to try and stop them curling and hurting her sister, she could feel her eyes watering and her teeth were now pulling tight on her lip to keep her from crying out. She could feel it getting worse and worse and then something gave and the pain just shot up too much and she curled her hands tight and the nurse started to tell her to keep calm

Nix let her head drop back and she gave a little defeated sigh and she closed her eyes, she made a mental point of relaxing her fingers and then she forced her eyes open and looked down to the nurse. She was standing now and had a bit of cloth in one hand and she started to wipe away at something in her hand before she turned back to nix and then she smiled and came to stand one nixs other side across from grace. "meet your son" she said simply in a voice that was filled with excitement as she bent over and gently placed a tiny baby boy in nixs arms

Grace hadn't been able to look, she did not want to see the miracle of birth first hand, though she also could not bear to see the pain on her sister's face, so she had simply selected a spot on the peach curtains to entertain her eye. It had obviously been patched- Grace could see the colours didn't quite match... She was quite relieved when it was finally over, though she was sure it did not match what Nix must be feeling. She beamed when the nurse placed the little baby boy into his mother's arms, now that was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

Grace leaned forward and kissed her sister on the cheek, wishing she could coo about how beautiful the little boy was, but her voice remained stubbornly frozen- hidden away from the stranger present. She could only hope that her smile would convey her message accurately, though she figured that it would- she had probably never grinned so widely in her life.

Nix smiled as she felt grace some closer to her and the nurse seemed to not be able to stop beaming, "ill leave you be for a while, congratulations" she said with a nod of her head before she turned and left the curtains and nix could hear her helping someone else from a creaking bed out and walking down the corridor. "hey jamie, you've caused a lot of problems mister" nix said in a soft voice as she looked down at her son. She had been set on getting a baby girl and naming her Lily Rose but clearly that hadnt happen so she was going to use the name she had always liked. It happened to be his fathers middle name and the name of his grandfather as well so nix thought it fitted all the better, "james, James Cyan Night methinks" nix said with a laugh at the end of her words
