History: Mei grew up thinking that she would become a doctor or a mathematician, the basic dreams that young Asians are, according to society, supposed to have. Of course, when Mei turned out to be quite ordinary in both science and mathematical courses, her family was disappointed. Her parents both moved to England shortly after they were married and before she was born, and they expected her to make something of herself, especially since she was an only child. And, of course, there was the ridicule and stereotypical attitudes of her classmates.
Undoubtedly, the pressure was hard on Mei, but she learned to relive her stress through art, literature, and her favorite thing of all, volleyball. Mei was never particularly talented at volleyball, either, but she loved it. However, it seemed quite inappropriate and unacceptable to her parents for a young girl of her potential to pursue. She secretly was on her middle school team for one year.
Then the letter came. Mei never expected anything like Hogwarts to exist. Her entire life, she had been taught to base things off of logic. Quite frankly, she has no idea what to do.
MUGGLE WORLD
Alias: Liz
RP Experience: Well, I suppose it's been about four years since i started. This'll be my first time doing it again in about a year, though.
RP Sample: Landon's whole head felt hot and dizzy. God, what was he supposed to say? He wanted to avoid a cliche like, 'it's not you, it's me,' but that was exactly the truth. It wasn't her fault. She had been perfect, more than anyone could have ever expected. But she'd be even more perfect for someone else, for someone who didn't think of his ex-girlfriend when he held her, who tried to wash the ghosts of heartbreak away with meaningless 'I love you's and kisses that went too far.
His hand was sweaty in hers as they went to her locker. She didn't even know it was coming. She looked so peaceful, so perfect, so happy. And now he was going to destroy that happiness. Everyone was jealous of him. They'd wonder what he was thinking. He'd wonder what he was thinking. Simple words like 'I'm sorry' would never make it better, no matter how sincere they were.
His stomach churned. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't think. He was going to do it, right now. Deciding to wait until tomorrow had already put it off until here. It would only get harder. You can't kill time without injuring eternity.
But how on earth do you break up with the perfect girl?
