{(I MISS YOU, MISS YOU SO BAD.)} i don't forget you, oh it's so sad It was dark in the alley even when it was two in the afternoon and sunny as ever. Most people didn't really bother with the alleyways of Knockturn Alley, especially those that led to Diagon Alley. And, Rose was honestly thankful for that. Coughing faintly, the half-vampire stumbled along the stone-paved walkway, though she was hardly recognizable at that point. Ever since the attack on the school where she revealed her loyalty and who she stood with, she had been with the Death Eaters. She hadn't returned home or to the school, something she had thought she'd loved, but she couldn't be more wrong. Being a Death Eater had been something she had always wanted, and she had it now, but no matter what she did, the others never respected her. They always sent her out to do the dirty jobs that they themselves didn't want to work with.
She had thought that fighting at the battle would help her gain some sort of respect or well-placed rank, but she had been wrong. She looked nothing like she had before. Her blonde curls were gone, having to cut her hair to her shoulders, but even the soft, shiny look was gone. It looked limp and dirtied even. Her skin was paler that it normally had been and a number of purple bruises covered her form. Slumping against the stoned wall, the half-vampire winced faintly, hissing as she bared her fangs lightly. Ever since she had begun feeding on humans, she could hardly keep her fangs hidden, the effort a struggle. God, she had never thought that she would regret her decision of joining. She hated it now. She hated how they treated her and she feared them more than anything. She missed her old life, even if it wasn't exactly all she had hoped for. She missed the few friends she had, she missed her mother and father. She missed Alice. Swallowing hard, Rose wished there was a way out, but there was nothing she could do now. If she even tried to leave, then they would kill her. So lost in her thoughts, she didn't even notice that someone had stepped into the alleyway...

Alice should have learned to deal with this. The faculty of Hogwarts was buzzing about her incident and it was making her head hurt. She couldn't wander through the halls without the concerned looks from teachers, from feel hot and claustrophobic. She didn't realize there was so much pity in the world for a sixteen-year-old rape victim. The eyes were haunting her. She already had a pair of evil eyes in her dreams, haunting her and taunting what they'd done to her, what devilish deed their owner had committed. Somehow, the sympathy was worse.
And the boys. Alice hadn't realized there had been that many men in the world, or within Hogwart's walls for that matter. They were everywhere. She couldn't go anywhere without seeing a boy, and a lot of them were boys she knew, boys she'd been involved with. They all looked at her with contempt, as if they all knew what she'd endured. Their eyes all spoke to her, calling her filthy names and judging her. They knew what had happened, somehow, they had to. Those looks all said the same thing. They all were saying how awful she was, and how she deserved every second of it.
That was why Alice was out of Hogwarts. She would have never gone out into the open again, especially with the chance that she'd run into a man, but she needed the air. She could find an abandoned alley or an old rooftop and sit and cry. Even after everything, her voice was not back. She hadn't regained her speech, or her singing voice, or her courage. She'd taken to wearing the most unflattering outfits she could, not putting any effort into her appearance. If she simply stayed under everyone's radar, she could prevent something bad from happening to her.
Alice kept her head down as she walked, not wanting to meet anyone's gaze. She weaved in between people, feeling very claustrophobic. Chancing a glance up, she saw two very large, very loud men walking towards her. Her heart quickened and she veered off into the nearest alley immediately. Something was off about the scenery. Walking a bit further, she figured it out. Knockturn Alley. Alice wanted to curl up and die, right then and there. She couldn't turn around though, she was too afraid to. Walking fast, eyes downcast, not wanting to see anything other than the ground her own two feet were on. That was all that was real anymore, anything that was secure. If she simply stared at her feet, everything would be alright.

{(AND YOU WON'T UNDER STAND)} the cause of your grief Rose would've been more than happy to ignore the seemingly clumsy footsteps of the girl who passed her, her eyes staring blankly at the ground, if it hadn't been for the sweet scent that drifted by. It caught her by surprise, her eyes widening as her head shot up, staring at the girl as she walked on. Was that Alice? Her heart practically jumped in her chest as she shakily stood, opening her mouth to call to the girl that she so cared about when the chortling voices of two men came up behind her. They passed her with little though, but their words burned in her ears. Come on, fool. She's gonna get away.", one of the men sneered. A deep growl rumbled in her throat at their words, smelling on their disgusting scent the intent of their words.
The half-vampire moved quickly, stepping between the men and Alice as the tried to step up to the young woman. "Get lost."
, she growled, her eyes narrowing as she glared at the two men. They simply seemed to laugh lightly after a moment of hesitation, obviously not seeing the blonde as any threat to them. "You wanna join in the fun, too, hmm?", one of them asked, a idiotic smirk on his lips. With a sharp snarl, she didn't even hesitate to bare her sharp fangs at the men, briefly enjoying the flash of fear that fluttered over their expressions. "I said, 'Get lost.'", she hissed, her dark red eyes burning with anger. They thankfully didn't need any more convincing as they quickly turned and practically stumbled out of the alley in a hurry. As they left, the half-vampire quickly turned to face her friend. Voices began to echo through the alley, bouncing off the walls. Alice cringed at their tone, not fully understanding their words. Oh, God, it was happening again. Alice bit her lip profusely and attempted to walk faster as the two men followed, gaining speed. She wanted to cry, but no tears would come. There wasn't any way she could handle this. Her throat closed up, and she silently fished for the air that wouldn't come. Another voice resonated from behind her, but Alice was too intent on attempting to get away to realize the feminine growl was familiar.
Alice stumbled, her hand shooting out to the closest wall to support herself. Her breathing was labored and she was beginning to panick. She could hear the men taunt the woman behind her, and Alice's heart seized up. It was happening all over again, except this time with two burly men and one woman. The odds were certainly not in her favor lately. Alice closed her eyes, tensing up, waiting for a hand to wrap around her waist, her mouth, her throat... but... nothing. She heard a panicked shuffle and heavy, retreating footsteps, and she opened her eyes.
"... Alice...?"
Alice froze. Rose? The brunette reluctantly turned, watching the half-vampire warily. Alice hated Rose for the path she had chosen. The Death Eaters were no good, especially after all that they had done to their fellow classmates, their teachers. Alice watched the girl, eyes wide, lips parted slightly in fright. The gleam of Rose's fangs peeking just from her supple top lip made Alice all the more afraid. This was a nightmare in the making.

{(AND YOU WON'T UNDER STAND)} the cause of your grief Rose could smell the fear in the woman's scent, sending a jolt of pain through her heart. Did she really fear her? Did she really think she would do anything to her? It was more than painful to think that the girl before her thought that. Swallowing hard, she took a small step closer, her dark red eyes softening. It had been so long since she had seen the girl, and at that point, she simply wished to hold her in her arms again. She didn't care at that point if it was simply a friendly embrace or not. Any sort of embrace would've been enough for her. "A-Alice...it's me. Rose...I-I'm not going to hurt you..."
, she said softly, the sadness obvious in her voice as she went to place a hand on the girl's cheek, but thought better of it, jerking it back. The swift movement, though sent a jolt of pain through her side from the large bruise she had on her ribs. Sharply inhaling as she severely winced, she did what she could to ignore it, looking back at the girl she cared so much for even now. "A-Alice... it's me. Rose... I-I'm not going to hurt you..."
That didn't comfort Alice in the slightest. In fact, it made her all the more wary. It sounded like something a human would say to a small mouse before smashing it to a bloody pulp with a broom. Alice could only see the predatory fangs and hear a dangerous tone as Rose stood there, talking to her and staring at her, wide-eyed. Alice shifted uncomfortably throughout the awkward, frightening exchange, wanting desperately to run. Her feet, however, seemed glued to the spot. Even if she wanted to, Alice didn't think she was going to go anywhere. This made her want to pass out. In fact, she felt the color drain from her face, her whole body. The seemingly permanent lump in her throat tightened, making it hard to breath. She really was paralyzed with fear, a scared rabbit in the presence of a hungry fox. Alice didn't know where to go, where to run, or where to hide, even though that's all she could think about doing. Unfortunately, the young woman was going nowhere, fast. All the while, Alice stood there, watching Rose, fear in her throat.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
