I think nix is the sort to hold grudges against any/all who she was once enemies with unless she sees them weak for what ever reason and feels pity for them, so thar might work if you could offer to maybe set your dear girl up to be crying or Upset or sad in some way but I think friends could be fun to try. Maybe they could have a friendship over your ability to change form and nixs ability to change form too, even if nix does grow fur and a tail when she does it
