Distinguishing Features: Holly has very striking facial features with prominent cheekbones and expressive eyes. The fact that she keeps her hair shaved close to the scalp has a way of distinguishing her from the crowd. Holly also has her ears pierced once on the lobes, and a tattoo on her ribs in white ink that reads "Never Forget" in runes.
Dressing Style: A look at Holly's wardrobe obviously conveys purple as her favourite colour, the vast majority of her tailored, flattering robes are in varying shades of purple. She has a fondness for jewelry, both understated and statement, and won't leave the house without wearing any. Holly opts for minimalistic with makeup, though will don more for special occasions. Like her father, Holly has also mastered dressing in muggle attire, and has a variety of tasteful outfits concurrent with nonmagical trends to blend in seamlessly.

History: Holly was born the second of two children to the Shacklebolts, only a short while after her elder brother. Even from infancy it was obvious that she shared more than a few traits with her father, and was always a calm, logical child, if only a bit quieter than Kingsley. From a young age Holly was always gifted with language, even those that were not English, her tongue seemingly able to wrap around many different sounds, even those not included in her native language.

At eleven, Holly went to Hogwarts just like her brother, and she was sorted into Slytherin, much to the surprise of her family, though they never held it against her. Holly's school yearss were uneventful, she was a good, though not outstanding, student, and not at all popular. She was uninterested in Quidditch, though she was named a prefect in her fifth year. It was near the end of her seventh year, however, when things changed.

On a trip to Hogsmeade, she met a charming Kenyan-immigrant wizard named Joseph Bain, who had recently become an auror, and they were instantly smitten with each other. Holly and Joseph kept their relationship going strong as she graduated and took up an internship in the Ministry of Magic- going into the Department of Foreign Affairs as she continued to study, and gain fluency, in several languages. The day she was promoted from her internship, Joseph asked her to move into his flat. Holly agreed and their love continued to flourish as she worked even harder at her job.

Things settled into a smooth routine for them, advancing in their careers ever-steadily. At twenty-three Holly was granted the translator position she had been going after with six languages under her command (Swahili, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish on top of her native English). Their surrounding world might have been turning darker, but Holly was comfortable and happy. That was, until the attack on Hogwarts. She had been abroad at the time, translating a meeting between English and Guatemalan officials when the school was attacked. Joseph, however, given his career as an auror, was dispatched at once to aid in the fight, and he was killed in battle.

The news devastated Holly, being suddenly without the man she had spent eight years of her life with. Crushed by grief, and unsure of what to do with all the emotional pain, Holly shut herself off from the world. She took leave from work, and sank into a deep depression. Months passed by, and she slowly began reintegrating herself into the world, burying her grief. Holly still isn't really over Joseph's death, though she has realised she needs to carry on.
