- On this site, vampires are not going to be like those from Twilight, the sunlight kills them, they don't sparkle.
- There is a general mistrust between vampires and wizards, if what they are is uncovered they risk being social outcasts for their lives.
- Crosses, churches, holy water, etc. do not repel vampires.
- Garlic generally keeps vampires away, as too much of it will cause allergic reaction. Rash, headache, fatigue etc. If consumed they will die.
- Female vampires are capable of having children until their bodies run out of usable eggs, usually around two hundred years or so, though conception is difficult.
- It is difficult for a female vampire to become pregnant by way of a male human, as her eggs are difficult for human sperm to penetrate. If a female vampire does become pregnant with a baby that is half-human, she is more likely to miscarry because the womb of a vampire is inhospitable.
- It is difficult for vampires to reproduce, generally vampire families are linked through a common vampire that Turned them.
- Male vampires can reproduce throughout their lives.
- Vampires can live to be up to five-hundred years old, but depending on what they hunt, their aging will differ.
-Born vampires generally age until their mid-twenties to early thirties and don't look physically older beyond that point, regardless of what they hunt. -Those that hunt humans, either magical or muggle, only physically age very slightly. It isn't very noticable. -Those that hunt animals tend to age dramatically, usually between fifteen and thirty years older. This will adjust depending on how much the vampire's diet varies. For those that do a combination, at most they might age five years in appearance.
- Vampires that hunt humans are generally stronger and faster than those that live off of animals, as they are wired to drink from humans.
Eye Colour - Vampires that hunt humans (muggle or magic) will have burgundy eyes.
- Vampires that hunt animals will have unnaturally green eyes.
Note that if the vampire has a mixed diet, the colour will reflect what they hunt most frequently. These colours can be covered up by the powers of a metamorphmagus or appearance-changing charms/potions. Turning Rules - If a vampire bites a human, but leaves enough blood for transformation, the human will undergo the transformation process, and thus becomes a "child" of the biter.
- The "turner-turnee" bond is very strong, the one turned has to submit to the will of their "parent," and finds disobeying them very difficult to do. It is possible for the bond to be broken, though is highly difficult, nearly impossible, to do.
- With each person a vampire turns, the bonds become weaker, and much less influential over their turnees. More powerful vampires can exercise control over two or three, though more is unheard of. The turner's bond with the last vampire they turned is always the strongest.
