A Note About Half-Vampires

• Half-vampires do not produce venom, therefore they cannot Turn anyone.
  
• It is impossible to become a half-vampire, you must be born that way of one full vampire parent and one human parent.
  
• Half-vampires have a heart that circulates blood, however their pulses are extraordinarily slow.
  
• In order to be sustained they must have a balanced diet of both human food and either human or animal blood.
  
• Half-vampires can expect to live to be around two hundred and fifty years of age.
  
• As far as sunlight goes, they can tolerate it in small amounts, but if they are in direct sunlight for longer than four hours they will die.
  
• Female half-vampires can produce children until their bodies run out of usable eggs, around two hundred years, though pregnancies are difficult.
  
• It's hard for a female half vampire to reproduce with a human, as her eggs are difficult for human sperm to penetrate. If a female half-vampire does have a baby with a human, the child will be born as a full human, but she has a higher chance of miscarriage as her womb will be semi-inhospitable.
  
• If a female half-vampire has a baby with a full vampire, the child will be born a half-vampire. But in this case there is a higher chance of complications for the mother, as the baby will weaken her.
  
• Male half-vampires can reproduce throughout their lifespans.
  
• Half-vampires age until their mid-twenties to early-thirties, at which point they don't tend to look much older physically.
  
• Half-vampires that drink the blood of humans will have reddish brown eyes.
  
• Half-vampires that drink the blood of animals will have bright greenish blue eyes.
  
• They can sunburn within a matter of minutes.
  
• Half-vampires injure as humans do, but their healing times are more than three times faster due to their vampire sides.
  
• They aren't quite as fast or strong as full vampires, but they are certainly stronger and faster than humans by a long shot.
