Harry breathed a massive sigh of relief when Alexandria finally began to stir, it had been maybe ten minutes, but it had felt like a lifetime to him. He felt awful, he shouldn't have hit his daughter with that spell... He had to tell himself over and over again that it was only a spell designed to knock out its target, nothing worse. She had taken a longer than usual time to come round, but Harry knew his spell had been cast for an adult, not a child. "Alexandria," Harry said softly, "what hurts, dear?"

Alex groaned quietly, her headache intensifying the longer she kept her eyes open. She blinked a few times, hoping it would go away. "My head hurts a lot," Alex murmured, her words slow and a bit groggy, like someone who had just woken up in the early morning. Alex closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again, adjusting a bit.

Harry gently brushed the hair away from his daughter's face, biting his lip. That was to be expected, it was a strong spell, and forced unconsciousness wasn't known to be a gentle sort of operation. "Just stay lying down, all right? I'm going to get you a glass of water," said Harry, standing up, knees practically trembling. Something was up, otherwise Isabelle would have killed Alexandria instead of leaving her unharmed... Refraining a shudder, Harry walked slowly to the kitchen, filled a glass and brought it back to the living room.

Alex murmured a sort of thanks as her father left the room, returning a few moments later with a glass of water. Alex opened her eyes once more at the sound of Harry coming into the room. She took the glass of water, lifting her head up just enough to pour it into her mouth without spilling. Her hands were shaking slightly, but not enough to spill all over the couch.

Harry took a few deep breaths to calm himself, it was over. At least for now. But because of these events he knew their house was not safe- they needed to be better protected, Harry wasn't sure if he could have his wife and daughter sleep in the place until he put every protective charm he could think of on it. He bit down on his tongue lightly. "I'm so sorry," said Harry, getting down on his knees, "I should have been more careful."

"It's not your fault, Dad," Alex said after she swallowed a bit of the water. She felt rather odd at the moment, though not enough so to think that this was her father's fault in any way. Isabelle was certainly cunning, she had known exactly what she was doing when she had come to the house. But as to exactly what she had done, Alex wasn't sure.

Harry tried to smile, but it came out as more of a grimace than anything else. Once Alexandria had finished her water, Harry placed the glass on the coffee table, and returned to biting his lip. Something seemed different about his daughter, but at the same time not. Perhaps he was just stressed from his current situation. "Might you be more comfortable in your bed?" Harry asked. He would carry Alexandria there if she found walking too hard.
