Although not a social genius by any standards, Isaac could easily tell what Vivienne wanted to say. He felt anger boiling within him. Draco was a scum, a real scum. He felt ashamed to be related to such a monster, a man that would strike his own daughter. He was a physically strong man, and Vivienne was so small, he could have really hurt her. "Well, he's paying for it now," was all Isaac could say. Truth be told, if he could, he would kill his father.

Vivienne nodded. She hadn't realized it until that moment, but she was trembling. Maybe she was scared, or nervous, but she couldn't say. There were so many undescribable feelings rushing through her. She looked up finally, tears glinting in her eyes. She used to be so strong, but now she was reduced to a real ten year old. It was degrading, and hopeless. She hated feeling so weak, so needy.

"I'm going to buy my own place after school lets out," said Isaac. "I want to let you know that you're welcome there anytime." He thought that perhaps he should advocate for guardianship of his sister, but that was treading in legal waters, and Isaac had relatively little experience there. It was frustrating, but maybe Angel or Gabby might know more about the process.

Vivienne smiled, wiping yet another wave of tears from her eyes. She had never done this much crying, this much emotional stress. Sure, she had cried before, but it was almost an alien feeling. Normally, it was for something serious, like blood. This is serious V. she thought to herself. Yes, this was by far, very serious. Then, something else popped into her head from Mum's blowout. "Izzy, who's Xavier?" She asked, as if forgetting their previous conversation.

Isaac fought back a groan, he had forgotten how much noise carried throughout the manner, especially during a shouting match. But he hadn't yelled Xavier's name, had Vivienne been eavesdropping or something? He shouldn't have a reason to get mad, as listening in on the conversations of others had been a hobby of his when he was Vivienne's age. "Someone whom you will meet shortly," said Isaac and left it at that. He wasn't ready for his sister to know he had a son yet.

Vivienne was only slightly satisfied, but she did not press the matter further. She knew Isaac would stick to his word. He always did. It was also true, that she had been evesdropping. She felt bad about it, but she was curious. She was like Isaac in that regard. Always up to no good. Obviously, Isaac wasn't mad about it. If he had realized it, he didn't seem angry. Then again, Vivienne was terrible at reading emotions, unless they were really obvious.

Isaac paused for a long while, he didn't know what to say really. He lifted his feet off the ground and swung his legs gently to swing slowly. He felt terrible, there were important things that Vivienne needed to know that he was unable to say to her. That she was an aunt, and he hadn't told her about the fact that he was a vampire. Isaac didn't want his little sister to be afraid of him. True, Safira knew, but she had figured it out on her own. But about Xavier, that was between Miranda, Pansy, Gabriella, Luke, and himself.

Vivienne looked out onto the park grounds. It was a lonely place, for it was never occupied. It was a little miserable, but it was a place for Vivienne to come to in time of need. She smiled faintly, directing her gaze towards Malfoy Manor. It was a beautiful, esteemed building to most. To her it was torture, a dismal hoax. Vivienne was never a peace in the manor, never at home. The illustrious house was just another way for her parents to isolate her from their lives.

"Well, if you ever need out of the house if I'm not there to rescue you," said Isaac after a pause. "There's a secret passage from the dungeons that leads out into the forest, I'll show you when we get back." Another hobby of his as a young child. The Malfoy Manor had several passages, certainly not as many as Hogwarts, though. Mostly false wall panels that led to other rooms, or trap doors that blended perfectly with the pattern of the floor.

Vivienne held back a grimace. Sometimes she didn't like being saved. Of course she appriciated it, but it made her feel weak and helpless. She turned her expression into a genuine smile quickly. A secret passage or hidden door was a fascinating, alluring thing. Especially now.

"Have you ever looked for any passages?" said Isaac. "There are loads around the manor, when I was young I would hide from my nanny in them." He smiled a bit at the scarce early childhood memories that he had. They were humourous ones, sticking his nanny to the ceiling, putting honey in his father's underwear drawer, among other mischievous antics.

Vivienne nodded, smiling. "I haven't had much time lately, but I've found the trap door under the stairs, and the secret level on Mum's favorite statue in the sitting room." She replied. "And I think there's one in my room, under my bed. I've seen it, but can never get to it." She finished. She used to be able to find all sorts of things, when she was free. Her father had caught her once, and that was the end of it. A couple of fracture ribs and her searching was over, for good.

"Then perhaps we shall explore it today," said Isaac. No passage was safe from him, besides, he could easily move things to get to the more hidden ones. He favourite one was the false panel in the library that led to the top of a small tower that one would assume was only decorative. In reality it was a small room that was entirely empty, spare for the pillows Isaac had dragged up there.
