Tristan had been casually walking along the school. He had seen Cora vanish into the Forest earlier, and was hoping to catch her. Ever since their little "bump" in the hallway the other day, he couldn't wait to see her again. A sudden screaming sound perked his senses. He listened for it again, and sure enough, it came. The sound was frightfully familiar. Tristan took of at a sprint towards the forest, in time to see Dean crawling on the ground. He slumped over and in an instant, Tristan was hovering over him. "Oh my god." he whispered, mortified as witnessed Dean's wounds. No doubt it was the Sectumsempra curse. Tristan had his wand out in a flash, quickly healing the wounds. Again, he had to thank his father for teaching him a vast number of healing spells. "Dean." he whispered frantically. "Dean!"

Dean felt the curious sensation of a healing spell as his torn flesh mended itself, some of the pain went away, but the horrible agony in his messed up knee remained, he still trembled. His skin was pale from blood loss, he felt dizzy. Dean couldn't bring himself to respond to the fervent voice, was unable to to get his voice to work. His lips moved but no sound came out. Cora, he wanted to skin her alive for doing this to him.

Tristan looked over Dean's broken body, looking for other signs of injury. He only found one, and it was nasty. From what he could tell in the clear moonlight, his knee looked like it had been run over by a train. Tristan held his breath and muttered a few healing spells. He wasn't the best with mending bones, especially ones that needed completely rebuilt. Finally, he was satisfied with his work. He placed his wand on the ground beside him and slowly brought Dean to a sitting position.

As his upper body was lifted from the ground, Dean felt his head pound violently and the world spin much more quickly around him. He emitted a groan, wanting to flop over to the grass once more, but knowing that his saviour wouldn't allow him to do so. His basic knowledge of healing told him that victims had to be kept conscious at all costs. "Horrible... Cora... Death Eaters..." Dean choked out weakly.

Tristan was in disbelief. Cora did this? And what about Death Eaters? He just couldn't believe she would do that, do her own twin even. And join the Death Eaters? What was she, mad? Tristan shook his head. Dean was starting to drift and he shook him gently. "No! Stay with me Dean, stay awake." he replied harshly, no longer being quiet. If it truly was Cora who had done this to her brother, then she was insane. And yet, he was still attracted to her. If only she wasn't pretty. Tristan thought bitterly. He was such a sucker when it came to a pretty face.

Dean had been inches away from slipping away, only to be rudely pulled away from it. "One of them... Too late..." he literally could not get any further noises to come from his throat. It was so hard to keep himself from the inviting, restful darkness, but Dean fought it. He was going to live, so he could go and force some sort of logic into Cora's mind. Becoming a Death Eater? What was she thinking? That was how their father had wound up getting killed.

Tristan shook his head once more. He couldn't believe it. But he had to. "Alright, let's go." He replied quietly. He scooped Dean up into his arms gently. He felt so frail and small in his arms. He hurridly walked to the castle, careful not to jostle his package.

Although Tristan was careful, Dean felt nauseous while being moved. He battled unconsciousness every step of the way, he later considered it a miracle that he had not died that night, and counted himself incredibly lucky that Tristan had been out late that night, breaking several school rules. But presently, those thoughts were far from Dean's mind, staying awake. That was his task just then.

Tristan silently carried him to the Hospital Wing. Only some prefects were straggling in the halls, giving him somber stares. He ignored them, and they, in turn, ignored him. He set Dean upon one of the many empty beds. He pulled up a chair beside the bed and took a seat. He carefully tucked Dean under the covers, no doubt he was cold. The weather at night wasn't the warmest, especially this late. Tristan placed one more spell upon Dean. This one would pull more of the pain away, and stop some of the queasiness he was no doubt experiencing from being carried so far.

Dean had not realized how cold he was until he was placed under already warm blankets. "Thank you," Dean said very quietly. His eyelids had grown increasingly heavy, he was no longer able to fight the comforting arms of unconsciousness. Dean slipped away into a heavy sleep, his body although healed fantastically by Tristan, needed to repair itself behind his closed eyelids.

Tristan smiled. "You're welcome." He whispered as Dean fell into a deep sleep. He too, was slowly drifting. The effort it had taken to get Dean to the hospital wing rwally took its toll. He rested his head on the end of the bed and slowly fell asleepm

When Dean finally woke, it was bright in the hospital wing, sun pouring in through the window. He knew the glass faced west, and the sun was hovering at the top of the pane, signaling it was early in the afternoon. Dean ran a hand through his hair, he must have been out a long while. A slight headache lingered, and the sunlight wasn't helping. Dean hid his eyes in the crook of his arm, wanting to go back to sleep, but in discovering that he was too awake to return to slumber, he made to sit up, feeling a bit woozy, but not as horrible as last night.

A sudden stirring on the bed aroused Tristan out of his slumber. He awoke to find Dean sitting up and a soft blanket draped over his shoulders. Someone must have come in to check on the patients and had decided to let him sleep instead of kicking him out. He smiled inwardly. How kind. He grinned drowsily at Dean, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "You feelin' better?" he muttered groggily.

Dean rubbed his right temple with his right hand, partly because he usually did this when he woke up, the other part being that it temporarily soothed his headache. He supposed that the pain was because he was hungry, which had most likely been the cause of rousing his slumber. "Yeah," Dean said tiredly, and then yawned. Dean looked down, he was no longer in the bloodied clothes from last night, but in blue and white striped hospital wing pajamas. There was a steady ache in his chest, no doubt the skin was still repairing itself.

Tristan yawned, stretching his arms high above him. His stomach was growling from hunger painfully. He moaned sleepily. "You want breakfast. I can go get some." he replied. Before he had the chance to get a reply, a teacher whom he did not recognize waltzed into the room with two trays of food floating behind them. She set them down without a word and was gone within a matter of seconds. Tristan took one glance at the food before grabbing a plate of pancakes and digging in. He left the rest for Dean, no doubt he was starving.
