Isaac laid on his back on the grass, and allowed Gabriella to use his arm as somewhat of a pillow. He did not miss the sensation of the blood supply getting cut off to his limbs because he positioned himself oddly. He watched as the heavy clouds dissolved into a beautiful night sky, every star and constellation visible. "Gabs, it's amazing," said Isaac. He could stare up at it all day.

Gabriella smiled; Isaac had no idea of the treat he was in for, at least not yet. "Just wait, it gets better," she told him with a smile, still staring up at the clear "night" sky. It was a really great spell that book had taught her. Then there was a small explosion in the sky. At first it almost seemed as if one had imagined it, but then the sky burst into fireworks as the spell simulated a meteor shower. Gabriella grinned, staring up at it.

Isaac remained quiet as the sky was lit up by a "meteor shower," it was so beautiful. He felt that there really weren't words to describe it, Isaac figured that he would just communicate it through the silence. His perception of time melted away. Isaac wasn't sure how long they laid there together, gazing up at the "night sky." He didn't really care, he felt that he and Gabriella could lie there for a very long time.

It felt like time would never end, just staring up at the night sky. At some point Gabriella had grasped Isaac's hand and was now holding it tightly for a human, but rather loosely for her strength. The spell was truly amazing, and Gabriella was glad she had perfected it so there weren't any glitches. It looked just like a real meteor shower. Magic was amazing.

Isaac lightly stroked the back of Gabriella's hand with his thumb, smiling softly. He wanted to relax his eyes, but couldn't bring himself to tear his eyes away from his fiance's amazing spell work. Just then, it didn't matter that Ron hated his guts. He couldn't wait until after the wedding when he would call him "Dad," unless he insisted on "Mr. Weasley." Isaac could not help but smile at that, just a little.

It seemed like ages away when Gabriella could finally tear her eyes away from the meteor shower to look over at Isaac. His eyes seemed glued to the sky. Gabriella realized that she had no idea what time it was now. "Maybe we ought to get back to Hogwarts," Gabriella suggested quietly, though she didn't really want to leave just yet. But it would look weird if they disappeared for hours.

"I suppose," Isaac said quietly. He stood, and then offered his hand to help Gabriella up (although he knew she didn't need it, it was more of a polite gesture). Somehow, he knew that everything was going to turn out just fine. Even if Ron didn't like him, he would just have to get used to the idea of Isaac and Gabriella being together. Love is blind, after all.

Gabriella nodded and then took Isaac's hand to pull herself up. She flicked her wand at the sky and it slowly drifted back to the heavy clouds of the day, though they were a bit darker than they had been earlier. It appeared to be approaching evening now. Then they started out of the clearing.

"Might it be a bit more sensible to apparate into Hogsmeade?" Isaac asked in a quiet voice as they walked. Sure, they could run back to Hogwarts, but that would also involve some swimming, and it would take a while. Apparation was easy, even if when he disapparated he made a noise like a whip cracking. Isaac felt a drop of rain on his head, it would probably start pouring soon.

"Yeah, that would probably be better," Gabriella replied, though she liked running, it wasn't quite practical to run all the way back to Hogwarts, though she had done it before. "Let's go from here, that way no one will hear us," she added, stopping short of exiting the clearing. "See you behind the Three Broomsticks!" Gabriella disapparted, feeling as though she was being squeezed through a very tiny tube. And then she found herself in Hogsmeade.

Isaac followed closely behind, and with a crack like a whip, he found himself beside Gabriella behind the Three Broomsticks. The rain was a light drizzle here, there was a nip in the air, but Isaac didn't really feel the cold. He extended his cloak to keep Gabriella under his arm, as if to keep her warm, it seemed like the gentlemanly thing to do. Isaac wondered if they should head back to the castle, or hang around in Hogsmeade for a while. He figured he would let Gabriella decide. With a quick glance at his watch, he realized that Angie was still on shift. Poor thing.

Gabriella appreciated the gesture of Isaac's cloak, though she was hardly cold, her body was probably cooler than the May air. "Let's go inside, perhaps Angel's on shift," she offered, figuring that her cousin would be, as it seemed Angel was working nearly all the time at the Three Broomsticks, as well as at Ollivander's.

"Last I checked she is," said Isaac. "We've both been trying to get less hours there but the manager has final say, not I." He walked at Gabriella's pace to the front door, and then pulled it open and held it for her. He could do with a firewhiskey. Just one, Isaac had gotten drunk before, it was not fun. Hopefully his mother would never find out about it, as he had only been fifteen at the time. Isaac had been a lot more rebellious before he had met Gabriella.

"Well, that's unfortunate," Gabriella replied, making a slight face. She stepped into the pub and walked over to the bar, Isaac following her. A firewhiskey sounded quite good at the moment, maybe two. For whatever reason, they always seemed to make Gabriella feel better.

Isaac sat on a stool at the bar, an empty one beside him for Gabriella. Whomever was on shift wasn't up at the bar at the moment. A rarity, the manager always seemed obsessed with having someone there at all times. He held her hand lightly, for once the place seemed pretty empty. A few old wizards in deep discussion shared a table, and someone Isaac suspected to be a hag (she was wearing a knee-length parka with a muffler covering most of her face) at the end of the bar opposite them.
