There was a faint popping noise, Angel found herself in her flat once more, there was not a lot of furniture in there, but it was still home. It was quiet, and dark. She fumbled around a moment to find the light switch, then flicked it on. It was a tiny flat, the kitchen, dining room and sitting room were combined in one, and a narrow hallway to the left led to the nursery, the master bedroom and the bathroom. Angel sighed, it felt so empty here. She took out her wand and preformed a non-verbal spell that made music began to play.
The works of Mozart sounded from nowhere. She played this specifically when she was at home, she had read somewhere that it made babies smarter. Angel sighed, then made her way to the refrigerator, she was hungry. There was not a whole lot for her to eat, but she always kept the kitchen stocked with the things that her boys liked the most. Pickles, peanut butter, canned ravioli, and a new-found favourite, grape Kool-Aid. She poured herself a glass of Kool-Aid, then used a can-opener to get into a can of ravioli. She was just putting it in the microwave when there was a knock at the door. Curious, Angel looked out of the peep-hole only to see...

Isaac. He had been a bit concerned about his friend of late, he wanted to see her. After he did a bit of poking around, he had found out that she leased a flat in muggle London, number seven at Thistlewood Run. He just wanted to make sure that she was all right. "Angie?" Isaac said through the door, already smelling her through it.

Relieved that it was only Isaac at the door, Angel hurriedly undid the locks and chain, then pulled open the door to allow her friend in. "Hi Isaac," said Angel, then scurried over to the microwave, as her ravioli had finished eating. She pulled out a fork from the drawer and began to eat right off the plate she had used to warm it. "Any particular reason you came over?" Angel asked. She wondered how he even knew where her flat was, she didn't remember telling anybody.

Isaac was not sure how to respond for a moment, he gave forth a small frown, now just noticing the music playing. It was soft and subtle, not abrasive. "I was just making sure that you weren't dead in a ditch somewhere," Isaac said with a bit of a smirk now. Really, he was planning on sticking a sack of Galleons somewhere in her flat, so she would have it if she needed the money. "I guess I was just a bit concerned, you haven't been in school for over a week." said Isaac, frowning slightly.

Angel took a sip of the dark purple-coloured liquid, the boys loved Kool-Aid almost more than the bitterness of pickles. She placed her glass back down on the counter and gave a small smile at Isaac's joke of her lying dead in a ditch. But then the light mood fell a bit. "I am no longer a Hogwarts student," Angel said simply, then went back to her ravioli, unsure of how Isaac would react to this new bit of information.

Isaac raised is eyebrows, that did not sound like the Angel he knew at all. The Angel that he knew loved school and wouldn't dream of giving it up. But then again, this whole situation was not like his friends in any way, shape, or form. "Well," Isaac began, having no idea as to what he was going to say. "Um, why?" That about summed up all that he felt, the sheer disbelief.

Angel had been a bit worried about having to answer questions of that variety for a long time after she had decided to leave Hogwarts, but she would have to do that. She swallowed a mouthful of ravioli, took another sip of Kool-Aid and then gave a small sigh as she laid her hand on her stomach. "I don't want them to grow up on charity," said Angel. "I am responsible, not some house elf in a tea-towel." She still had her time-turner, that would probably make life a lot easier for her. Angel bit her lip.

To an outsider, it might seem like a noble thing to do, go it single ad raise two kids on her own, but Isaac knew it was only because that Angel was too stubborn for her own good. He frowned. Isaac was going to help her out, he didn't see it as "charity," just a little bit of help for someone who obviously needed it. "Angie," Isaac sighed, having no idea how he was going to finish the sentence. "You're just going to throw it all away?"

Throw what away? Why was everybody she knew telling her that? Did they not trust her enough to make her own decisions? She was of age now, seventeen and free to do as she pleased. Besides, she had gotten a job as a wand-maker and assistant manager at Ollivander's just from her O.W.L. scores. She got at least 105% in every subject, except Divination, which was only a 100%, but she didn't need that for wand-making. "I'm not throwing anything away," Angel said coolly. "I know what I want and it is for my boys to grow up in as normal a life as possible."

Isaac raised his eyebrows, the situation in which her twin boys would grow up in would not be anywhere close to normal. They had a mother, but a father that was scared of responsibility. And Angel would most likely be using her time-turner to work a job and raise her children without a nanny. "But Angie," said Isaac, again unsure of how he was going to complete the sentence. He left it at that, hopefully Angel would get the hint, or at least the gist of what he was going at. Isaac was not about to let her throw her life out the window.

Angel stopped eating her ravioli, she frowned a bit as she placed her fork down on her plate, and then put the plate onto the counter. Her dropping out of school was official now, Angel had no intention of returning to Hogwarts. She was going to stay in this flat working her two jobs to provide for her twin boys. She had yet to decide on names for them, but she would eventually. "I know it's a lot to think about," said Angel, now eying the ravioli again, she was still hungry. "But you will just have to make your peace with it as I did. I dropped out of school, and that is just going to have to be the end of it."

But of course, she was just so stubborn. Isaac sighed, then ran a hand through his hair, there really wasn't anything he could do to change her mind at this point. She had dropped out, got herself a formal job and a two-bedroom flat. "All right, I will "make my peace with it," but only under one condition," said Isaac, sticking his hand into his pocket and fingering the small cloth sack that was weighing down his pocket. Hopefully Angel would accept this...

Angel raised her eyebrows, what condition could that possibly be? It had better not be any sort of financial aid, Angel wanted to be able to do everything related to money by herself. She had two jobs now, and a relatively low rent for a two-bedroom flat. It would be tough, but she could make it. "And what would that be?" asked Angel.

Isaac pulled out the purple cloth sack from his pocket, and instantly his robes felt unweighed. There were ten thousand Galleons in the enchanted sack, pocket change to someone in his family, but it was the least he could do, since Angel had no support from family. She might be making enough now, but the money might disappear quickly once her babies were born. "As long as you keep this, just a bit to fall back on," said Isaac. "You might want to take it with both hands."

Angel frowned, she did not want money, and something to "fall back on" was usually of financial value. She was skeptical, and when he told her to take it with both hands... She took the sack, and it instantly felt rather heavy in her hands. "Isaac, please," said Angel. "I don't want you money..." She did not want to accept it, she felt guilty already.
