Midnight Ponderings (Open)

Gabriella grinned as she was suddenly flying through the air. The hand that wasn't holding Isaac flew up into the air. "Whee!" she whispered happily. Her feet landed on the ground and her knees bent easily and then she stood up completely again. "We should do that more often," Gabriella replied with a smile.

"Indeed we should," Isaac agreed, grinning. He could smell animals in the forest from where they stood. He needed to go hunting badly, it was getting hard to control himself. "Let's figure out what's on the menu tonight," Isaac said teasingly with a wink, smelling the air. "Smells like giant spiders, wild hippogriff, or wolves. Which would you prefer?"

Gabriella inhaled deeply, smelling the air herself. Yes, she did smell the three things Isaac had mentioned, but something else as well. "How about those deer over there?" Gabriella asked, pointing in their general direction, though she couldn't actually see them yet.

Deer were herbivores, not exactly appealing to Isaac's taste. They tasted too planty, like eating grass. Wolves were his favorite non-human blood, but it didn't sustain him for long. He supposed he could make do with a deer or two, he would go after what Gabriella wanted. "Whatever suits your fancy, love." said Isaac.

"I'll have a wolf, I suppose," Gabriella replied, seeing Isaac's eyes. She hadn't tasted wolf blood before, but she could guess that Isaac liked it. Perhaps she would as well. Gabriella inhaled again and then began to follow the scent, moving slowly at first and then faster until her feet were barely touching the ground, still completely silent.

Isaac followed at a small distance, he wasn't quite as fast as Gabriella was. No matter, as long as he got some blood in him tonight, it wouldn't matter. Isaac sprang and grabbed a wolf before the rest of the pack could even realize what was attacking them, he snapped its neck. "For you, my love," said Isaac, gesturing to the dead wolf, ready to sprint and catch one for himself.

"Nah, you have it," Gabriella replied as she darted for the pack, which was breaking up and trying to escape. Gabriella wouldn't give them the chance. She was a complete blur as she ran after one wolf, that was a bit undersized, but enough for Gabriella. She snapped its neck, giving it a quick end as she slid to a stop to drink the blood.

All right then, he had only been trying to be gentlemanly about it. No matter, Gabriella was a strong woman and felt the need to do stuff herself. He drained the wolf completely, but still felt hungry. He would need something else before he was satisfied. Isaac preferred human blood over this, Death Eater blood was particularly satisfying to him, he was ridding the world of evil.

Gabriella drank until she had her fill, there wasn't much blood left in the dead she-wolf. Gabriella came back over to Isaac's side. "Need any more?" she asked, her eyes now the vibrant gold they always were after hunting.
