Emily took large stride with her long legs, easily keeping up with Gabriella. She hoped that she wasn't the annoying little sister to her, she would feel guilty if she were. Emily drew her cloak around her a bit more tightly, it was kind of chilly.

Gabriella felt really lucky to have Emily as a sister. She knew that not all sisters got along as well as they did. Emily was one of her best friends, though. It seemed that a lot of her family members were that way. They all got along. Gabriella picked up her pace slightly to keep up with Emily. Of course, she could easily go faster if she wanted.

Emily looked at her sister, she didn't appear to be violently shivering as she was. "Aren't you cold?" asked Emily, but she caught herself. "Right, you don't have to answer that." It was still hard to believe that Gabriella was a vampire, Emily thought that she acted just the same, only she never ate anything.

Gabriella smiled. It was nice that Emily could catch herself before Gabriella had to answer that question. She glanced at her sister, who was shivering horribly now. "Oh, right," Gabriella said. She whipped out her wand once more and with a non-verbal spell, place a thicker cloak around Emily's tall frame.

Emily instantly felt warmed, as if the heavy cloak had just been cleaned, clothes always felt warmer when they were clean. She drew the hood to warm her ears. "Thank you." said Emily. That was a nifty spell, she would have to figure out how to do that one.

"You're welcome," Gabriella said cheerfully as they continued to walk. Gabriella felt the harsh wind against her bare skin, but it didn't feel cold or harsh. It just felt normal, like an everyday part of life. "Do you ever think about life after Hogwarts?" Gabriella asked Emily suddenly.

Well, that was a sudden change in topic. Yes, she did, all the time. What was she going to do with her life? She had no idea, but she thought about it frequently. "Yeah, pretty often. Why do you ask?" said Emily.

Gabriella paused, trying to figure out where she was going with this. "Well I think about it a lot too," she started. "And last year I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but this year I'm not quite as sure."

"You still have plenty of time until "the real world," Gabs," said Emily. "Your Zonko's job could keep you happy for a little while until you figure things out." Emily already knew what she was going to do. She was going to become an Auror.

Gabriella shrugged. "That's not really what I mean though," she replied. "I've known that I wanted to be an Auror since I was twelve." Gabriella paused, trying to find words again. "But a job isn't everything, and I don't know what I want to do when I'm not hunting the bad guys."

"Oh, you'll figure something out." said Emily, stumbling over something that she wasn't paying attention to. She caught herself before she fell and continued walking, as if she had never blundered at all. That was just how Emily was, held her head high, no matter what happened.

Gabriella didn't flinch at Emily's near fall. She would've caught her if she had to, but she had seen Emily do similar things before. "I hope I do," Gabriella replied a bit wistfully. Emily had such faith in her. Gabriella wished she could have that much faith in herself.

"Don't hope you do," said Emily. "Know you will." Why couldn't Gabriella just be sure of herself for once? Just let her path take her where it wanted her to go. Everything did happen for a reason, Gabriella just had to trust in herself. Emily kicked a stone, it skipped a few feet ahead, and she kicked it again once they had reached where it was.

Gabriella sighed, Emily was right, but Gabriella was still a little unsure. "Alright, I will cross that bridge when I get there, then," Gabriella replied. If I get there, she added to herself. There was always a chance that she wouldn't become an Auror, she supposed. There were a large selection of people that the Auror office chose from.

"Of course you will," Emily said confidently, kicking the stone again once they had reached where it stopped. She was doing this completely absentmindedly, unaware that she was doing so. Just another one of her idiosyncrasies. "You're the brightest witch of your year, they have make you an Auror. And think of all the doodling time you'll have when you're not tracking someone." said Emily.
