Gabriella was shocked. She shook her head furiously, of course he wasn't bothering her. It was perfectly alright if he asked her questions about being a vampire. "You're fine," Gabriella assured him. "I just don't like the way books talk about vampires."

"I could hardly blame you for that," said Wolfgang, ajusting his position and sitting up straight, as he normally did. "Sort of like they're animals, not super-human." He wasn't sure if that was the right term, they still had human feelings, behavior and thoughts, but their abilities were far beyond a normal human's...

Super-human. Gabriella rather liked that thought. In fact she had never thought of herself like that before. It was rather nice, comforting almost. "Yes, I agree," she replied. "The books make vampires seem like vicious animals that are only controlled by instinct."

Wolfgang frowned slightly, maybe he ought to write a more accurate book about vampires. Perhaps he would put it on a list of things he needed to do. Wolfgang was just an organized freak that way, he had his priorities sorted out from a very young age. "Quite right," Wolfgang said, not releasing his frown.

Gabriella nodded firmly, biting her lip very gently as she could easily cut through it. This would certainly give Wolfgang a scare if she did. She wondered if people could see her for what she was. Gabriella supposed if Wolfgang hadn't figured it out, probably no one else had.

"The ministry isn't a help either," Wolfgang began, adjusting his position in the chair again, he could not get into a comfortable spot today. He had too much energy for it being three in the morning. "Making them all out to be bloodthirsty monsters. I think they're wrong about that." Wolfgang added.

Gabriella cringed visibly. Bloodthirsty monsters. Well, bloodthirsty was certainly correct. Gabriella could smell Wolfgang's blood from halfway across the room, and the vampire part of her wanted to drink it. As for monsters, it had taken several people to convince her that she wasn't one. "Yeah," Gabriella said quietly.
